Yep, plenty of people are unhappy. I can't say I'm thrilled either, but what really matters to me is what they do going forward, whether they are clear on what they need, and whether they reward what they need appropriately. It sounds like they plan to release these plans soonish.

Well, looks like there been big things going on since I last checked in.

Bigadv requirements going up and ending at the beginning of next year? Anything else I missed?

Yeah, sorry I been around for a bit. Just been busy with Job Corps or if I'm home attempting to relax, I seam to be dealing with all this snow lately (shoveling it out).
.
I can say I did pass my GED (luckily first time around) when I took it last month and had a total score of 2830.

I also started IT class last week. Well, technically..... started the week before that but the teacher wasn't back from winter brake. So I had nothing to do other than watch movies/play games on my tablet. 😗

Already got 3 out of 21 chapter completed out of this book we have for this class,

A+ Guide to Managing & Maintaining Your PC (8th edition)
http://www.amazon.com/Guide-Managing-Maintaining-Printed-Access/dp/1133135080

So been a bit busy but at least it been going good.

Well, hopefully I check in more often and glad to see the team it still working like a nearly well-oiled machine.

A+ should be a breeze with your skills and computer knowledge. I studied for 4 hours with nothing more than the skill I gained from building folding/gaming machines and both scores were over 850.

Don't get your hopes up but:

1) What gen of Xeon are we talking? Cores? Transistor size?

2) What do you see for a fair market price? Wish there was a KBB for computers!

May be useful for my blackjack venture.

That's the server with 64 GB ECC mem and QB83 CPUs. I won't sell the CPUs because of the ES status. If someone wants a killer deal on the server we may be able to work something out. I really hadn't anticipated any interest and meant it as a passing Joke. if anyone has interest in any of it, you can PM me. I'll be getting some GPUs on again in a month or so.

Was just under $4700 total at time of build.

My E8190 that now reside in my mother's pc is an engineering sample. It was an awesome super pi chip back in the day. 😀

Nevermind - I was thinking about drivers for my new 780 Ti, but I think that it is only supported by 331 and newer so it doesn't matter.

At any rate it is up and running (and folding). I currently have it in Ubuntu with the newest drivers. It is a stock card (no factory OC) and no OC by me. On an 8900 preliminary PPD is 205-210k :bounce:

Kind of akes me fill small. my piddley 5/6k per day. Working on it but I just cant dedicate whole boxes to folding. using excess on my VM servers and backup boxes.
I have been folding off and on for years.. had a dry spell when I started my own office and had too much to do, but working on getting back up.

We all start somewhere. My first folding rig was a Dell slim case with a Core 2 CPU and an ATI HD 4650.

Then I started taking over PCs at work for night-folding but that had to stop when they locked down the network. By then I had the bug and had to build a decent folding/gaming rig.

Three years ago 5-6k would put you on the top 20 producers list. :ouch:

Yeah and it's easy to see which couple of individuals messed that up for everyone, ain't that right DD? (it really is all his fault) 😗
