GateWay error

Hello,

When i try to access my laptop(ip 172.x.y.z) from other desktop(ip 172.p.y.z) it is showing GateWay Error. Laptop is wireless connection. Desktop is wired connection...how can i access? kindly reply.

You are not on the same subnet so you won't be able to connect unless they are bridged.

If the desktop is 172.p.y.z, then the laptop would have to be 172.p.y.a where a and z are both within the range allowed by the dhcp server, i.e. other than the last octet, the others must be the same to be within the same subnet or else the subnets need to be bridged.
