Question Gigabyte b75m-d3h black screen when trying to access bios

Hi hope I'm in the right place, i recently bought a computer from someone on Craigslist. It boots fine into windows 10 pro but when I try to access the bios it only goes to a black screen. I've tried using windows 10 advanced boot options to update uefi settings. When i bought the machine the guy said something about having to update the bios, but running the application from gigabyte's website but i get a "unsupported 16-bit application error" am I doing something wrong?

BIOS only displays at a single resolution. If your display is not capable of displaying at that resolution you will get a black screen.
