Hi Guys, Here are My Specs:

CPU:i7 2600K@4.6GHZ
RAM:8GB DDR3@1600MHZ
GPU:GB GTX 670 OC 4GB(SLI)
Windows 7 64-BIT
Nvidia driver: 310.64

It seems my cards are not running optimally, I see people get higher FPS with same cards and even with weaker cards.

Here is Max Payne 3, Everything at Absolute Maximum settings @1920x1080, FXAA- Very High and MSAA-8X

http://i.imgur.com/TfFcO.jpg?1

I get 45-52 FPS, Is this normal? I was reading a bit of old topics and youtube videos and they have the same settings running at 100+ FPS.

Battlefield 3 is another issue:SLI scaling onBF3 is a mixed bag, some Maps run perfect like Alborz Mountain scaling usually 70+(80-130fps) while Bandar Desert it is 50-70 and FPS cant hit below 60FPS, which I find Unacceptable.(4XMSAA and all settings max@ 1920x1080 with fov at 85)

Crysis... cant believe that the GTX 570 in sli was giving me more steady FPS hitting over 60 and not falling below 50, GTX 670's...however is all over the place.

Some games they work perfectly as expected, like Unigine benchmark I get:
FPS:
86.1
Scores:
2169
Min FPS:
38.2
Max FPS:
221.6

Which seem normal,Help me out here guys am I being paranoid? CPU is idling at 35-42C due to this insane heat in Australia, hits up to 58-68C in Intense gaming for 2-3+ hours.(On heavy Games)

3D MARK 2011 SCORE: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/5100285

Assassins Creed 3: Maximum settings@1080P with highest AA at TXAA, Boston area 47-55 Average.(Near same results with a single card)

It seems the SLI decides when it wants to kick in,What is going on Guys?

UPDATE: BF3 made me realize there is something wrong, Gulf of Oman 64-Player Map, drops below 60 hovers around 65-68, hits 85-90 at maximum. <<My GTX 570's in SLI were providing higher Average FPS, never dipped below 60.

Please help guys...is this a known issue? 3DMARK 2011 and Unigine Benchmark clearly show my cards are working perfectly, however in real world gaming that just Isn't the case.

I had same issue this is what i did to fix it Turn off windows upate
download driver sweeper. http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/guru3d_driver_sweeper_(no_installer).html Uninstall drivers.Download driver fusion http://treexy.com/
Reboot system in safe mode and run driver fusion.
Reboot again.
Re-downloaded drivers http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Turn on windows updates Go to nvdia control panel and change all your games power options to "maximum performance". NVIDIA Control Panel --> Manage 3d Settings --> Global Settings Tab ---> Power Management Mode ---> Prefer maximum performance

Thanks I'll try that...however I don't think that will help, I manually delete all Nvidia traces when Installing new drivers, Reg Edit, Temp-Local Roaming, C drive root, Program files etc.

I tested Gulf of Oman SLI disabled I get pretty much similar Average FPS but higher Max fps, so seems like SLI is the issue here.

However I'm going to go ahead and try your recommendation, be right back.

It seems to me you may have unrealistic expectations. You have turned up FXAA - max settings AND MSAA-8x? Ease up on the AA and try again. Many people who claim max settings do not max out their AA options.

This is par for the course with BF3 in multiplayer. Everyone gets dips below 60.

Unigine has tons of settings, I have no idea what your settings are. I assume absolutely maxed as you seem to have done this everywhere else, in which case that is good scores.

Those are extremely good scores.

AC3 is a horrible console port, there are all kinds of problems with the game, so I have no idea what you should expect.

That is actually VERY good FPS in BF3 on those maps. Everywhere you go, people are getting FPS as low as the 30's. It is CPU bound in multiplayer and there seems to be server side things that slow things down.

Actually every single video I see on youtube about GTX 670 in SLI or GTX 690(Pretty Much 2 gtx670'S) have Max Payne 3 or other games at maximum detail with 8XMsaa and FXAA to very high.

I'm just going off the benchmarks and youtube videos and my cards fall short to what everyone else is achieving.

I don't think it should be unreasonable for 2xGTX670's to never reach below 60FPS in BF3 on any map, which mind you MY friend with a single GTX 680 is getting better Min fps then me.

Anyways thanks for the help guys I appreciate it, I didn't mean to come off as a needy person and entitled, however these cards cost me $1010 I should be getting better performance.(GTX 570 Sli on Crysis for some reason beats these cards in minimum FPS unless I'm forgetting)

However I'll look at it from another perspective all games run fine at maximum details besides AA, so i should be happy and enjoy them.

I don't know what you should expect, I just can't find one with every AA option maxed on Max Payne 3.

As far as BF3 goes, if you become CPU bottlenecked, and remain CPU bottlenecked with a single card, the single card setup will have higher minimum FPS. That is because SLI steals CPU resources and power, so it just makes the CPU bottleneck larger.

I also don't believe your friend that he never drops below 60 FPS on the couple maps you mention. Everyone is complaining about those maps, even those with 2 690's.

What about other games? I don't know about Max Payne, but the other games you chose are known for the issues you have, and AC3 is just a disaster on the PC atm. How about games that are stable and aren't CPU bottlenecked? Your GPU situation is going to cause you to have CPU bottlenecking on a ton of games, just to give you fair warning. It's more GPU than needed for 1080p, unless you are doing 120hz, in which case you have to deal with CPU bottlenecks.

Alright thanks guys, I guess you are right I thought with the i7 2600k@4.6GHZ I wouldn't be bottlenecked for a while.I was wrong apparently oh well I'm just not going to look at benchmarks and what not and just enjoy my games, this has given me too much stress.

Thanks guys.
