Question HDD Disappeared and turned into CD drive?

This is my first post, I hope I'm doing this correctly.

I have an MSI laptop that i bought about 7 months ago. I booted my laptop up and my HDD wasn't present anymore (PC boots up from SSD). After a few weeks the hard drive randomly appeared again a few weeks later. About a week ago it disappeared again and it doesn't seem to be coming back, it only appears when I safe boot, then i can see my hard drive. What's really odd to me is that now a CD drive appears in place of the HDD. What's even weirder is that sometimes on the rare occasion I can still boot games that are on the HDD even if my PC doesn't recognise it. Under Disk Management I have as follows:

--Disk management screenshot--

(Disk 0 Partition 1)
SSD (C: )
WinRE Tools

(used light-shot to screenshot even though its installed in the HDD that's not showing up.)

I really appreciate any help I get, and thanks in advance for your replies.

Sorry for the late reply, I just came back from the hospital. Not really, it did once a while ago, however it hasn't the last few times I have checked. Luckily I already backed up my important data, I just have a bunch of games installed and don't want to reinstall since my internet is atrocious.
