Question how bad will my motherboard hold back my cpu's performance?

I just bought myself an Intel Core i5-12600K, only right after buying both the CPU and motherboard, I found a review saying that the motherboard shouldn't be used for gaming. I didn't think the motherboard would affect performance as long as it's compatible, but now I'm worried that my performance will be held back by a lot, can anyone help reassure or say how much it'll hold back the CPU?

the motherboard: MSI PRO H610M-B

It's a bit short on VRM but good enough for that CPU, I wouldn't push13900K in it though, Not very good sound either which is preferable for gaming but will do if you are not too picky about it.

$40 is a pretty good price for a large dual tower, the 'good ones' cost 80+

You bought an unlocked processor, that comes with buying a cooler good enough to run it. Minimum I would personally buy is that ThermalRight, but if you insist:

You are lucky that Thermalright has declared a price war on everyone else, even a year ago $35-40 would have been about it.
these prices are right, but shipping to my country is the same price as the actual cooler, so it would be 72 dollars. Plus, i dont think the motherboard even allows me to overclock.

It doesn't, but the CPU still has a higher power requirement than a locked one.

It may be easier to buy something local then. Where are you located? Any particular sites you can order from?

im located in saudi arabia, there arent many sites unfortunately and no stores here, but even the sites that are available either dont have good coolers, or overprice them by alot.

Just to provide general education.

The motherboard doesn't hold back the CPU outside of not being able to handle the power delivery requirements. But this is only a concern if you're trying to put an i9 or a higher end i7 into a cheap motherboard. Outside of that, the motherboard is just a communication platform between various components of the system. So the only thing that would hold anything back is either the limitation of the communication line or the components themselves, and it's usually the components.

That seems to be the rough price of shipping. Newegg prices are similar shipped to Saudi Arabia. Basically doubles the price of even cheap coolers.

Cheapest coolers available are still $12 with a $43 shipping charge.

Any local used things you might track down on social media?

in my experience, base prices are very similar between amazon and Newegg, but the shipping prices of Newegg are way higher. I got my answer and all is good, I'll just disable intel turbo boost in the meantime while I wait for the good cooler. This will be my first time replacing my motherboard once everything arrives. Wish me luck.

about your last comment regarding used coolers, Personally I don't like buying anything used, despite that, I looked for used coolers and didn't find many.
