Hello,

i have a Fujitsu P700 prebuilt and i want to swap the case, but i don´t know how.
That's because of the power supply !

The screw holes don´t line up properly with most PSU form factors.
I can´t mount it to another case because of that. I have some Micro ATX cases available though.
I can´t find a mounting bracket for the PSU or something similar.

Is there some shop, that sells mounting brackets for these PSUs ?
Or is there some easy way to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated of course

your issue isnt just the non standard form factor it doesnt use same power pins if you plan to ever upgrade it ?.

why are you moving it out of the case in the first place ?.

If it is merely doing it for the sake of doing so and it otherwise fits you could mod the case with some new screw holes assuming all else will fit. I would check the stand-offs for the motherboard beforehand to be sure that is going to line up properly as a short will really mess up the fun.

The front cover is broken. Maybe i'm just waisting my time, but the PC is fully functional. It might still be of use to somebody.
It's been bothering me to have it in this condition for quite some time.

You actually have what you need to mount it in another case.

What you will end up with is a dummy plate that measures like a standard power supply.

Mind you have to do some work and if your going to trash the old case anyways the mount where it is now can be cut off with a drimal. Just measure a standard power supply to the rear of your now installed power supply and compensate as you will have to shift your power supply just slightly to the right in new case to give you room for mounting in new case to screw in the standard left hand two screws.

It can be done if your good with these kind of things.

I don't have a Dremel. Buying one would cost more than a bracket, at least i hope so. And since i never had one i'm not good at working with it.

No problem. Just an FYI I don't think your going to find a bracket as most people would not transfer over the power supply.

If you know someone or who could cut it into a bracket. Or like USAFRet live with it as is.

Yes, that's the one. It's about two thirds of the standard sitze. And only one of the screw holes lines up . I can send more Info later. I have another Idea. But that one would be a lot easier to explain If i add some pictures.

you said the front of the pc case is damaged ? is there no way to fix it ?

Not without a 3D printer. But i do have the one or other old case, that would work fine as a replacement. I'm trying to fix it without spending any more money on it.

Assuming it still runs, leave it as is.
Broken part and all.

Given an i3-2xxx CPU, do NOT put any money into it.

I completly agree with the don't put money into it sentence. But i wouldn't mind spending some time exchanging the case.
I might even enjoy that. Tinkering around with some old hardware can be alright .

in theory you would only need

1. drill bit that can go threw alunimum
2. tape measure to measure case width of hole and height
3. sheet of aluminum couple mm thick to size of case psu cut out you intend to put it in
4. drill holes in aluminum plate to match the new case holes.
5. take piece of paper mark the holes of the power supply then transfer them to new aluminum sheet drill holes. cut out the extra material for venting attach plate to case inside or outside using rivets on case holes.
6. attach power supply.

as for motherboard you would need to remove the stand offs. make new stand offs locations.

I have such an aluminium plate, it's for tfx to atx psu conversion. I could make it suitable the way you described it . The problem is that i don´t have any profesional tools, not even a drill. That's because most of the time i don´t need anything except for a hammer or a screw driver.
That's why i asked whether i could buy such a plate/bracket thing somewhere ( a piece of aluminium wouldn´t be very expensive ).
Anyway, these adapters don´t seem to exist and i currently can't make one.
I think the discussion can end here, thanks to everyone who tried to be of help. 👍
