hi everyone
i need some advise on oc my m-2500 barton. Iv got it running at 2250mhz 12.5/180fsb, how far can i push it?
can i keep pushing the fsb ofr is there a better way. 12.5 is the highest the jumpers on the mobo will let me go and i dont think i can adjust it in the bios.
please can someone help me.
oh and my cpu is running at 35 c

Well push voltage to 1.75 or more, then see if you can hit 200FSB, people have reported 2.7Ghz on air, but not on that crappy heatsink though.

I believe your board has no pci lock, so you are getting close to the max. Try going up 1 mhz fsb at a time.
Dont you have a gigabyte prog that allows software changes to the multiplier?

You can try the "wires in the socket" trick to grant you access to the 13+ multipliers, it is a much safer way to go than to keep upping the FSB. Some devices like on board chips and HDDs can turn bad if the PCI clock they rely on is ran too high.

I don't have the references I used to get my 1800+ Tbred-B to 2166MHz (13x166MHz) right now but I'll be posting them tomorrow after a much needed night of sleep.
