I have a Intel CPU - used and old and I am not using it
Pls dont suggest softwares or mobo manual or purchase receipt etc - I have none
I want a way to identify the CPU by looking at it... as simple as that
I want to know if it is a Dual Core or a Core 2 Duo
There is absolutely nothing written on the top or its all gone cuz of the thermal paste
All I can see is a long number on the front... which is:
N4648812
A8622
And on the back I can see the chip cores etc and the number 100
Here are a few pics, I used a mobile cam hence its messed up...

will try and upload better pics if they are of any use...

Any help would be appreciated... thanks in advance

You need to clear off that thermal paste on top, underneath it will say something like this
L_Intel-2.40GHz-128-400%20(SL6W4)%20(top).jpg

You can google the SL*** code to find the specific processor model.

It may also just plainly list it on the top.

Yours will look a little different but it the the writing engraved on the heatsink you need.
