I am hoping to upgrade to a new 3000 series nvidia card in a couple weeks after they are hopefully announced. I am running a 4k Ultrawide monitor and a second 4k monitor on my pc. I use the ultrawide for gaming but in newer titles it struggles. I was hoping to look view my PCI e or even just my graphics cards bandwidth to see if when i get a new PCI 4.0 3000 series card if I will need to upgrade to a 4.0 motherboard as well. If I am not using the full bandwidth of pci 3.0 I would not upgrade. I couldnt seem to find anything online.
