I propose this.

Make October buy AMD Month..

I have bought 3 AMD and 3 Intels so far. I want AMD to survive for the right reasons and not for the wrong ones every fanboy comes on here and speaks.

Intel make better products fact. AMD are second. ATI make good video cards, Intel is designing one.Fact. Now AMD will not be number one ever as a company. Now we got that clear. Go and buy someone your your self a cheap pc with AMD inside. I would like to see this more and more. At the moment its 10 to 1..

Each and every reasonable technology fan would not like to see AMD go pop.

With out AMD intel would not pioneer.

If AMD do go pop then i will accept the news knowing what they have been capable off. It all started with lies at the point of AMD 4X4 platform - which was only 2 - dual core processors on the same board - pathetic.

Hey the main reason Nvidia is going to pieces is down to the fact that they had dogdy gpus in laptops etc.

their reputation was tarnished. nvidia still out sell ati video cards.

Tehehe...

AMD pay me to throw threads like this completely offtopic.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Offtopication (2A)

I missed out on a first class honours ... as my references were too specific and meaningful, and the title of the work was too easily found with a search engine.

The problem being a tech comedian is that even at your best your only going to make a handful of people laugh ... the rest will likely poke you in the eye with a stick ... including people you offend (like the NVidians and Inhellites).

It's like being a fully qualified wringer washing mashine mechanic ... or a petrol pump attendant ... or a wagon wheel repairer ...

Hellboy I hope your not mad at me ... stop

Yeah good, right up to the point when Reynod is missing something. And that is.... actually being funny.

A waggon wheel repairer -- is that the job where you fix a chocolate biscuit with the same name attatched to it.

Remember folks, Australia is a baron country. Sure they get out much.. But theres not much to look at.

Can I just thank Australia on behalf of the world. We thankyou for your recycling projects but you can now have Dame Edna, Paul Hogan, Mel Gibson and Rolf Harris back now after we have finished with them.

Class.

I wouldn't say that's entirely true. Wouldn't they need to continue to pioneer and inovate to provide incentive for customers to upgrade to the new and better thing, to keep their revenue streams flowing?

I thought you were going to fire a broadside Ardmiral Nelson ... alas it was a squib me hearty.

<wonders about that hand again>

Your stocked up on hand lotion right? Er ... I mean ... thermal grease ... right?

I'll pause while you compose yourself ... take your time.

/money for jam.

If by pioneer you mean rebranding core2's and innovatingly relabelling overclocking as 'turbo' then you'd be close to figuring out why intel doesn't need to bring out anything 'new' or 'better' to sell it to morons.

Once again, you're totally full of poo. You obviously have no understanding of the technology.

Intels Larrabee isnt going any where, and if your waiting, then i'll say your in for a long waaait.

they said its gonna be released in middle of 2009, right now were at the end of 2009, now they'r saying at Q1 2010, but 2010 comes they gonna delay it even ferther.

its really not easy to start from nothing and then trying to compete with high compines such as ati or Nvidia, so i dont know why Intel is spending millions of dollars on something that will talk a long time and might not work at the end to be above all other GPU's.

Why would AMD want to deliberately limit their GPU market to AMD processors, rather than making them compatible with the best-selling desktop CPUs on the planet?

Losing the entire GPU market for Intel-based systems to Intel and Nvidia would hardly be good for AMD; Nvidia would probably be laughing if AMD deliberately crippled their GPUs on Intel systems.

Sorry, but your post appears to be gibberish; I honestly don't understand what you're trying to say.

I wont repeat what several people have already understood and commented on my words.
Lets just say that LRB will be ondie, like what theyre doing now with their igps, and get it right, not feeble Intel igps, but ones witht the capability of a 4850.\If you dont know what a 4850 can do for say physx , look it up. Thats one example, theres others, and it doesnt have tio be gaming.
Give it time, everything Ive said here will sink in once Intel says its ok, this is what LRB is for, then everyone will get it.

Nope, you didn't get it. I'm not talking about crippling and I made that clear.

I'm talking about AMD making use of their platform to provide benefits to users who have both phenoms and radeons.

Intel would do the same, but their graphics are a joke and would just slow down their cpu's.

I really dont think people understand the gpu market at all.

I understand you jennyh, and Im sure thats what some are waiting to hear as well lol.
You can include in drivers things that work for certain HW thats not in other HW, much like compilers do for certain cpus, they work better on them than others, so it Intel crippling AMD? I wouldnt say so, but its a fair assessment I guess, if you say the same about a gfx card working in tandem with a cpu using opencl and drivers etc

This is what ive been saying, Intel will succeed in producing a graphic card which will knock out everything else whilst the others falter..

It will be Intel Inside and thats it.

If theres no competitor its a one horse race. Intel has nothing to keep up with.
