I can't make up my mind... should I go with the AMD 3900x or get Intel again. I currently have an Intel CPU but I'm building a whole new computer. I'm going to be gaming mostly on it but I do edit videos and other things like that. What would be better in your opinion? Intel or AMD right now? I also play a lot of VR if that matters.

here's my actual build:

its called "New AMD" I'm also adding another SSD to the build later.

If you do edit go for the AMD. It wont disappoint you in any task and will game very close to 9900K.
Your build is good... But:
The psu is a bit overkill. You can go for a 750W 80+ gold and save some money.
You should go for a better case. A 60 dollar case is a shame for a build like that. It will be easier for you to install things and do cable management and you will also have more space for fans and radiators in the future.

Go with a ryzen 3000 series. From what I've seen, the ryzen 3600x is equal to an i7 8700k.

Just gives an idea how strong the CPUs actually are. These aren't the older fx chips. In most scenarios, the ryzen is going to be better value imo. If you have to have the BEST gaming experience, maybe in that situation you go intel. But really, any difference there I think would be almost neglible. When YouTubers like Linus and others are going AMD for their rigs, that tells you something also.
