I currently have a Samsung H61S1 MP1.0 motherboard and its current bios is 04js, I was new to computers and bought an intel xeon e3 1220 v2 cpu, because i had an i3-2100, and i thought it would work on my computer because it had the same slot which is LGA 1155. Then when i changed the cpu it booted but there was no display at all, black screen, and then i switched back my old cpu, and researched and found out that my motherboard is only a sandy bridge and the xeon cpu is an ivy bridge and that i needed to update my bios but i couldnt find the website of the manufacturer which is samsung electronics co. ltd,

I couldnt find any support page for this model to download my bios, but i found an article that was in Korean and the guy was succesful in updating his h61s1 04js bios to a p01kjs but he used something called CH341A and thats why im here.

Can anyone help me with the ch341a, what is it and do i have to buy something (i hope not as im really poor and i need to upgrade my pc because its overheating) and if i dont need to buy anything, how will i update my bios from 04js to p01kjs without CH341A ?

I also found another guy with a similar motherboard and im wondering if i can download his bios and will it work for my motherboard

Are you sure updating BIOS will let you use CPU?

Putting the wrong BIOS on hardware can kill it. I know, I have mistakenly done it before and regretted it right away.

About only hardware that survives that is if you use a GPU BIOS for a different card based on same chips
Yes, i need to update my bios to the bios of this model that supports ivy bridge which is the p01kjs, after i update it the cpu will work, also is the CH341A one use only? or is it possible i could borrow from someone and use it
