hello, i have a dell optiplex 990dt, recently one of the ram modules i have died i guess, the pc basically dose not turn on when that ram module is on it, so i assumed its dead, so im looking for a ram module of 8gb ddr3 and ive just noticed ram sticks have different voltages but i just cant figure out which one my pc uses? also the other ram modules that are on my pc dont have any voltage info on them. i was about to buy a ram chip and i noticed it said "1.5" is it safe for my pc ?

Basically voltage wise there is DDR3 which uses 1.5v and DDR3L that can use 1.35v and/or 1.5v.
DDR3L is a dual voltage capable memory SoDIMM, which supports operation at both 1.5V and 1.35V.Sep 14, 2019
