should I sell my asus laptop with i7 7gen and 1050ti with 16gb ram and 1tb storage and make a small gaming pc instead under 400$ with a used gpu, it will be a 2nd pc because I own a high-end gaming pc with 13700k and 4080 so it will be a secondary pc in case friend come plus I still have a portable laptop since I have an old toshiba laptop with amd apu. my idea is pc is better value plus selling laptop will probably cover the cost plus I would like 50$ extra for better specs, the secondary will run some esports games like league or CS. psu is heavy so I am buying locally so this best cheapest psu I can afford locally because the rest is branded avoide in tier list and as for storage I have a Sata ssd in my current build that I will take off and buy 2tb SSD for my new build since I need more space. cpu/mobo/ram from us since I have someone coming soon and other since they are heavy will be bought locally from my country

You never get what you hope, selling used.
Keep what you have since it is only for occasional use anyway.
It is not about resell value it is more about being upgradable, the only thing you can upgrade in a laptop is drive or ram but pc anything is upgradable at cheaper cost
