Kingston ddr2 memory issue

I recently added memory to my motherboard. I had 2 gb previously and now 4 gb. Problem is that after adding memory my computer just freezes time to time. Motherboard (Asus m3a) manual states that those memory modules have to be identical. So I took note of my memory type (KVR800D2N6/2G) and bought a memory with that same type. The only difference is that older memory module is little larger (physically) and that the manufacturing date is different of course (its 1 and a half year older). Is that difference reason for the freezing issue?

I am not going to spend any more money for memory modules. If I can't fix this I probably just have to buy a new ddr3 motherboard, memory is then also cheaper..

I used "System information for windows" program to check the memories and two modules seem to be the same except that serial number and manufacturing date are of course different. Same program also informs that "Wrong values reported by bios". Is there something wrong in bios?

These freezings occur usually when I'm trying to move files between folders and drives. So strange. When I'm using only one memory module and it's then only 2gb then no freezings. It doesn't even matter which module is in use when it's alone then no problem but when I put them together then the problems start. It can only be that this dual channel mode is just not working right. This file moving thing probably then uses computer memory somehow and it then freezes. I have played some games for hours and nothing happenend even if I had 4gb.

Run diagnostics like MemTest86 and Gold Memory for at least 8-12 hours. Kingston has been known to produce memory with miniscule margins but has replaced it under warranty with products with greater margins, provided the customer complains properly to Kingston, but that may require sending them both the new and old memory.

Well I went to bios and changed this setting concerning some ecc correction (or something like that). Its was set to None and I changed it to Max. So far no freezing has occured even in those situations when they always happened. I don't know excactly was It that change that helped or was it something else.
