Hey guys! First time posting cause I need your help.

A few weeks ago I was able to buy a new RTX2080 Ti for a good price. After the upgrade I noticed just a small performance boost.
Since then I'm troubleshooting. This is my current setup:

  • ASUS ROG Z270F with an i7-7700K (not OC)
  • be quiet! Dark Rock 4 Pro CPU cooler
  • 2x 8 GB DDR4 with 2333 MHz
  • MSI RTX 2080 Ti GAMING X TRIO
  • be quiet! Dark Power 650W PSU

I play with 1440p resolution, but I'm not able to crack the 100 fps in games like Battlefiled 1 or Far Cry 3 (settings on high - not even ultra).
CPU usage ist about 50-60% by 60°. GPU usage ist about 60-70% with same temperature.

These are the things I already checked:
  • RAM is placed in A2 and B2, as it should be
  • GPU driver is updated,
  • System is runing in "high performance" mode
  • Different benchmarks show regular stats for this setup

I'm not sure what bottlenecks my system. Not enough power from the PSU, RAM's too slow? You guys got other suggetions?
Thanks for your help.

Not 100% sure it is your problem, but 650w is a bit on the low side, for a 2080ti. That card can be quite power hungry. Your card easily can use 300w+, by itself.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah, you might be right. The GPU might not be able to use its full power. Is it possible to see how much power the GPU uses, like in MSI Afterburner? Otherwise i got to connect a stronger PSU an check
