Question My PC only recognises microphones with a TS (Tip Sleeve) aux cord?

My PC recognises my microphone when the aux cord is a TS (Tip Sleeve), but if I plug it in with a TRS aux cord (Tip Ring Sleeve), it won't even recognise the mic.
I have an ASRock b450 steel legend motherboard, and am running windows 10.

which microphone are you using?

Did you plug it into the front panel or the rear directly into the motherboard

You can disable jack sensing and use the mic in the red mic port

I am using a basic cheap amazon mic (It's a BM-800), it's a dynamic mic.
I plugged it directly into the motherboard.
