Hey bros,so i'm going to upgrade my pc and i want to know is it worth it or i should get an xbone or a ps4?here's my pc specs that i'm going to get
Cpu:intel i7 4790k
Cpu cooler:cooler master hyper 103
Gpu:msi gtx 970
Ram:16gb 1600mhz kingston
Mobo:msi z97s sli plus
Psu:cooler master v750 gold
Case:cooler master k380 with 3 additional sickle flow x case fans
Os:win 8.1 64bit
So is it worth upgrading? Since consoles are cheaper... or a console will be better?i don't want to upgrade till 3 years from my upgrade is it possible?since i want to run all new games at max settings on a 1080p 60hz monitor @40+fps is that possible?
Thx in advance :)

You get what you pay for. If you want low res low setting gaming that's locked in to allow you to do whatever Sony/MS decide you are allowed to do with their gear then by all means go that route. If you actually want great gaming though, then consoles are not where it's at.

Yeah?

Like The Order haha? Destiny hahahaha?

Come on, humour us please with more awesome exclusives.

Even an Intel i5 can do video editing. sorry, I just think there are better PSU brands you can choose like Antec, XFX, Seasonic

Uncharted 4, Until Dawn, Ratchet and Clank, Deep Down, Uncharted Remastered, The Last of Us, Killzone, InFamous, SOMA, ABZU, etcetera.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAAAA

Oh god...

And here it is ladies and gentleman!

No further questions.

You are all welcome, especially you OP. The madman is unmasked!

PCs are PCs. Nothing makes a "gaming" PC any more special than a PC. My PC can be considered both a work and "gaming" PC.

So changing the subject because of the PS4's vastly inferior hardware makes it better than a gaming PC? I'm still not following your logic.

Sure, if you are comparing it to and entry level gaming laptop or some other low powered device. I'm not claiming that you can't have fun playing games on it, but if you want to take part in high end gaming you need high end hardware which the PS4 just doesn't have. It's essentially two net book processors glued together with an entry level gaming video card attached to it.

Explain how it matches for example this Sample PC below. Please be specific in comparing performance and any other factors which mean that both are the same or not vastly different.

Please back up claims like FPS or game performance with numbers gained in proven tests.

For everyone else reading this, this is where this guy flakes and makes stuff up to avoid the question. This is because he is wrong.

Sample PC

Cpu:intel i7 4790k
Cpu cooler:cooler master hyper 103
Gpu:msi gtx 970
Ram:16gb 1600mhz kingston
Mobo:msi z97s sli plus
Psu:cooler master v750 gold
Case:cooler master k380 with 3 additional sickle flow x case fans
Os:win 8.1 64bit

He thinks the PS4 has high end hardware and that on release it was as good or better than high end gaming PC's. That is a quote.

He also thinks the PC in his signature is HIGH end for gaming.

of course there is better PSUs but that doesn't that this psu is bad it's tier 1 that means it's great and yes intel i5 can do video editing but this i7 would be better for video editing and that's the best i can afford right nw

I never said it matched that PC. That PC also costs more than a PS4.

Below is a high end PC.

It would literally CRUSH your spec in a one on one comparison in ANY game by achieving higher FPS and handling far better settings.

In a one on one compute power test it would also CRUSH your spec.

You can find countless benchmarks for both the CPU and GPU also in direct comparisons. There is no debate on this matter whatsoever, you loon.

Cpu:intel i7 4790k
Cpu cooler:cooler master hyper 103
Gpu:msi gtx 970
Ram:16gb 1600mhz kingston
Mobo:msi z97s sli plus
Psu:cooler master v750 gold
Case:cooler master k380 with 3 additional sickle flow x case fans
Os:win 8.1 64bit

dude i have an r9 270x and that's why i want to change it cuz there's no new game this gpu can run on ultra even some games needs to be on medium so u can get 30+fps i run watch dogs on medium and ot sometimes lags...a high end pc means that u can run atleast most games on ultra

A 270X GPU is not high end. High end PCs can play Witcher 3 or GTA5 maxed out at 60+ 1080p

You should buy a stronger GPU then come back and compare the PS4 to your own PC. Until then, you are not making any sense. Or offering the OP any decent advise in your replies.

There Icareus...from the horses mouth! (OP, you are nor a horse...it is a saying)

Nobody agrees with you because you are wrong. It is that simple.

Nobody even semi shares your views because they border on insanity in some cases.

The PS4 is a console and OF COURSE it is good for gaming.

It is NOT a high end gaming device, never was, never will be (will go out on a limb here).

Stop spreading your biased nonsense and learn about what is really high end.

guys ps4 is great but the only reason i'm going to get a ps4 it's because it's cheap and the exclusive games only dude u even have to pay so u can play multiplayer and get access to some apps and even some games are played at 900p instead of 1080p and as i said i want every game on MAX SETTINGS @1080p at 40+ some games on the ps4 are locked to 30 and yes some other are locked at 60 but as i said 40+fps max settings 1080p

Hence you have to figure out, do you want to play console games and the "exclusives" which thus far are fairly disappointing in my opinion. Granted some good ones coming soon!

Or do you want to play on high res, very high settings/visuals and in turn play a lot of the same games but also loads of PC exclusives which are stacking up to look very cool at the moment.

You have to make the call.

The PC crowd has spoken...and the PS4 guy...has spoken too.

I can run 99% of games ultra on my 270X.

ofcourse i'm going for the pc there's no way in hell i'm going to take the ps4...and i can't live without mmos too 😀
and i said the only possible way that i may get the ps4 is becuz it's cheap and some of the exclusive like infamous that's it but i've always prefered the pc over anything...it's the freakin PC MASTER RACE 😀

with no frame drops?no lags?with 30+fps?i don't think so
