So, about a month ago I built a new PC. It worked fine for about a week (although I had accidentally placed a cpu fan the wrong way round, causing the pc to run at extremely high temps for about 3 days straight). After about a week, one day I turned the pc on and it would load into windows and suddenly blue screen. I literally couldn’t load into windows or anything without it bluescreening 5-60 seconds after turning my pc on. All I could do was go into the bios.

Eventually after trying everything I could, I sent it to a repair person and apparently the problem is my motherboard. He said he tried my same pc parts on another motherboard and the PC was running fine, aswell as re ordering the same motherboard to make sure my one just wasn’t faulty. Obviously the pc continued crashing.

So now, I need to get a new motherboard but I’m completely lost as to what I’m looking for in order to prevent this kind of issue from happening again. So, what should I be looking for? And if possible can I have links to a motherboard that’s perfectly compatible for my system AND has WiFi? Thanks.
Here is my components list, including the motherboard that won’t work.

You have an unlocked K suffix processor, you should look into an Z series chipset motherboard. A Z790 to be exact. You can take advantage of your processor.

What sort of a budget have you set aside for your motherboard purchase? We've established from your PCPartPicker link that you're located in UK. Any preferred site for purchase?

So would something like this be good? Although I’m a little bit skeptic at buying another MSI motherboard after the trouble the last one caused me. I still don’t know exactly what the problem was with that specific motherboard that was breaking my pc but apparently there was an issue with its compatibility in my system.

I don’t really have a preferred site for purchase, I’d probably just buy from where ever it is cheapest. My budget is around £200 but I may be willing to go slightly higher
