So I have a lot of questions and need lots of advice on what to do!
I currently have a pc build of;
Ryzen 3 1300x
Msi B350 pc mate ( mobo )
2 x 4 gb g.skill ram 3200 MHz
Gigabyte 1050 gpu
And I think I have a 550w bronze +80 psu
So my first question is will upgrading my ryzen 3 1300x to a ryzen 5 3600 and my gpu gigabyte 1050 to a 1660 regular or super. Will my current B350 motherboard be capable of handling the cpu and the gpu upgrade. I’ve seen many sites say yes and many say no due to compatibility issues but I haven’t found an exact answer, and if it does work , which component should be upgraded first in the situation?
I already know I must upgrade RAM without a doubt cause 8gb is no where near enough; however, my cpu cooler gets in the way of accessing all 4 slots for my ram so would it be better to just buy 2x8 gb ram sticks and replace the current or or put one of the 4gb sticks with the 2x8 in a single channel to get the dual 16 and a single channel of 4.
My main goal is to try to get a upgrade path that’s not too expensive but at the same time going to be able to push most titles in the future of atleast a year or 2. I’m very interested in the new game coming out by amazon called New World so I would like to be able to run that at least without any issues at medium to max settings 1080p
Another question too is will my ryzen 3 1300x do just fine running a 1660 regular or super or will the bottleneck be too significant to even try to run them together. Thank you in advance for any helpful tips or answers in what I should do or what route I should go into upgrading!
