You’ve heard it before. I have width but not length … on my screen, shut up.

So I’d prefer the Forum Live Feed as a fourth column to the right of the ads. So left to right Latest News, Top Stories from Other Sites etc, ADS, Form Live Feed. Then put the Feature Topics Horizontal below it. Then I wouldn’t have to scroll as much. The page is too narrow. I use 1920x1080 at home and 1920x1200 at work.. Maybe go to 1680 wide even.
If it’s going to be off the opening screen view for someone, give us the good screen for a change. Narrow is the way its been forever for the 3x4 folks. Either way, they need to scroll.

Love the font size/appearance.

not intuitive at all. Makes news the most prominent section. Daily articles should be the highlight, but they're cramped into a silly scrolling bar. If you want to revamp the site, simplify and get a better graphic designer. Smooth centered columns, less busy borders and less animated/flashing adds. You're site reminds me of homer simpsons website with dancing Jesus. You're trying to cram ten pounds of *** in a 5lb bag. Sorry, have to call it as I see it. Fail.

I don't really like the new look, the entire page feels so un-intresting now..
Please let us able to choose how it will look.

I feel like it is more cluttered than the old page, but I'm sure I'll get used to it in a couple days without a problem. But as previously stated, I also think the Charts section should be placed somewhere above the Forum Live Feed, not below.

The new articles scroll is missing the date of posting. This means each post much be clicked in order to determine its currency.

I'd like to know why when I click on one of the Featured articles, I get sent to the UK site and all currencies are in pounds and colors are colours! WTH tom's, I live in America!!!

I scan your cover page for new test, new equipment or new charts, you buried them. I never read your forums and hardly ever read your news. If it stays this way i'll delete your link and spend more time on Anandtech. I'll still use your site every year when I build an new PC.

I hate that massive "Latest Articles" bar along the top, and I'm guessing that because of the massive white spaces on your page, ad block is blocking well...ads and it makes your page look terrible; but better than some massive intel ad flashing in my face.

I don't care for the forum live feed, its huge compared to every thing else on your page.

Why is the featured topics section way at the bottom on the right?

I prefer the original. This is unfocused and disconnected. This process is incredibly boring. I'll check back a few times to see if it gets better.

Forum feed needs to be way, way smaller. It seems to fill out almost half of the page?!? Forums and review comments are by far the least interesting part of the page. User-generated content is by rule mostly interesting for the user who generated it. At the moment, Tom's is my first page I check for hardware news and reviews. For me, it's important that as many news and reviews are accessible from the front page and not hidden behind sub-menus or pages.

It's fine I guess. Not better IMO; just different.
I'm not really sure what was wrong the old layout TBH.
In the end though, I won't be visiting the sight any more or less because of the change.

I havent cared for any of the new versions at all, and the lack of option to go back to the old, is horrible, This used to be a good and great site, but the new versions lack that completely in almost its entirety of the idea of a/or least better version of the site to use.

Who decisions on this should be placed within some article somewhere of the idea on why a new version of the site, is being considered anything decent to do.

I still think that the "Deals for (insert month here)..." articles which can normally be found in the "News" panel should be places in a separate panel. This is so that people looking for deals can go find a bunch of those "Deals for..." articles in one place, ang there would be less bulk in the "News" panel (even if not by a substantial amount). I find these deals irrelevant to me because I don't live in the U.S. or where ever they're offered. Just my two cents... 🙂 Thanks TH and I love you guys!

Really need an option for long time readers to use old version. Do not like the scroll along the top at all and reminds of why I think Motortrends design is bad. Also the latest tech news down at the bottom? Come guys this is a poor design choice to put it gently.

Frankly, I think that this is a terrible layout!

I can get Tech news anywhere - it should not be the main focus of your website. I come to Toms Hardware for reviews and other articles on the newest components, devices, servers, technologies, etc.. And honestly, relying on tooltips for article summaries is a poor choice. When I view articles, getting a quick sentence or two helps me determine whether I actually want to continue reading.

Further, I question why there is such a focus on the live feed from the Forum. The content that YOU create should be more important than what noobs and trolls post into the forum. Looking at the live feed, one question that appears on your home page is "WHAT IS YOUR FAVE COLOR FOR A CAR?" --- REALLY? This deserves space on your home page?

Focus on your content, please! Tech news is important, but original content and opinion should be the focus on your homepage, not mindless drivel streaming out of your forums.

The earlier beta sites I hated. Beta 3 seems like a redesign done for the sake of redesign rather than actually bringing anything new to the table. Everything is moved around and not necessarily for the better.

I enjoyed the simple, standard, original layout. You had it perfect, so why are you meddling with it? The only thing I can suppose is that someone has the whole "MUST MAKE IT LOOK NEWER SO WE CAN APPEAR TO BE INNOVATING WHEN WE ARE REALLY NOT" logic that has all our modern word processors eating as much memory as entire operating systems did a few years back.

I really have no use, personally, for the changed layout. This push for new interfaces and unrelated features that really don't improve delivery baffles the mind. Just like I used MSN as a way to contact friends and co-workers, I really didn't want it turning into a copy of Facebook/Twitter broadcasting everything I say and do online. Just like I use Tom's Hardware for news and reviews (as I have for many years), I have no use for a clunky redesign trying to reinvent something that worked perfectly in the first place.

Hopefully you will at least allow users to choose or toggle the classic interface when all is said and done. This will probably fall on deaf, trying-to-justify-continued-employment-now-that-we-have-all-the-features-we-actually-needed ears if history is any indication from other large publications.

Layout is too crowded, you could make the homepage a little bigger. i liked having all of the hardware options of beta 2 on the homepage i.e. memory section. id like to see the charts moved to the top of the page bc thats what a lot of people look at or are looking for. still prefer having the 'latest news' in the middle, idk maybe i just got used to it. dont see the need for the 'featured topics' box anymore when it is right there at the top to scroll through. over all though, getting better.
