Hi yall i finished building and setting up my pc yesterday. During that time my pc froze a few minutes after I installed drivers. My pc has

Ryzen 1200 (not overclocked),
ASRock B350M Pro4 Mobo,
G.Skill Aegis 8gb (1 stick),
Zotac GTX 1060 6gb,
Corsair CX550m PSU,
Kingston 120gb SSD,
1TB WD HDD.

Anyways fast forward to today, i decided to formated my drive and did a fresh install of windows again. I updated windows, downloaded drivers again, and my windows froze again (this happens a minute after boot up). I am confused and worried about whats going on. I can’t pin point where this problem is originating. I don’t know if it’s a hardware issue because i checked my components and they all worked fine; However, having issues after fresh windows install twice is known to be a “hardware issue”.

Maybe some drivers are not functioning correctly but i don’t know since my pc freezes before i can check them; However i did notice that my pc was fine before i downloaded drivers (worked for like 40 mins until i installed drivers) so maybe it’s that. The last thing i want is to turn out that my gpu is faulty or something. I need all the help i can to fix this issue. I would appreciate it, thx!

A clean install faulting doesn't always mean hardware, but it's a good indicator. However the latest Windows is having various issues with different drivers, so it could well be this.

What drivers are you installing outside of normal MB/chipset drivers?

Does the freeing occur everytime you are on the PC? If so, can you perform a clean boot and check if the issue persists?

I haven’t installed any other drivers other than the ones i needed for my hardware. Yesterday my pc froze while using it and right now i am using it and its miraculously not freezing. Ive checked driver updates and there are no updates available. Ive been using the pc for an hour now and im waiting on a download and it still hasn’t froze. Hopefully it remains that way. Ill let you know if the issue still persists. Thx for helping me much appreciated!

It happened again, my pc froze after i opened task manager. The screen froze on task manager and i managed to see that a process called “system interrupts” took up 99% of my cpu. And yeah my pc doesnt freeze when im at the login screen or “lock screen”. What should i do? Is it a virus? I really need help rn, thx.
