NIC card

Need help. I just installed a new ASUS AV7-133 ACPI motherboard with 1001C BIOS running Win98. And using an SMC EZ card 10.
On the control panel I get the message "This device is disabled becaus the BIOS for the device did not give it an IRQ."

It is as if the card was not there. I have tried moving it to other slots and always get same message.

Any ideas as what to try next.

Try either assigning the pci slot a free irq (in the bios), or making sure the setting "PnP OS ..." is enabled in the bios, or both.

I reloaded windows software and all is working correctly.
