Hello all. Hoping someone can help with my issue.

I have an ASUS H310M-A motherboard and originally had a I5 8500 CPU. My PSU is 800W and I have 16gb (8x2) ddr4-3000 ram. I switched out my CPU to an I7 9700 and when I plugged everything in, there was no display on my monitor. I tried switching my CPU back to the original but still no display. I’ve tried the BIOS hard reset with both CPUs, using one ram at a time, changing the display ports, taking out my GPU and using the display on the motherboard but nothing has worked so far. I forgot to check if the BIOS was updated properly using my old CPU isn’t allowing me to do so. I’ve run out of ideas.

If anyone could offer some advice or guidance on what I could do from here, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

What about drives; are you trying to boot from an old drive with your previous windows installation. Did you try booting with no drives connected to see if it goes straight to bios? You may need to reinstall windows. Also why isn't your old cpu allowing you to update your bios?
