[SOLVED] No video output on my new MSI GeForce RTX 2070 TRI FROZR 8GB

My PC has been working great but recently sold my RTX 2060 for a RTX2070 and thats the only change to my setup. Just received my MSI GeForce RTX 2070 DirectX 12 RTX 2070 TRI FROZR 8GB last night, installed it and I get no video signal whatsoever. The Fans spin up and i've tried the hdmi port and all display ports and still nothing. I even tried a different display and still nothing.

My power unit is 650w and this card recommends 550w so I feel like I should have enough power. One thing is my first boot up I used my same 8 pin connector that I used on my last card the RTX 2060, and got no connection so I plugged in the remaining 6 pin thats dangling from that same cord and still nothing. Although I did notice the card sound louder and fans spin up faster when both power ports are used on the card. The only thing Ive been able to find online with a card very similar to mine is that sometimes you need to run two pcie power cables from your power supply to your graphics card. Have you heard of that?

I have an extra 8 pin port on my power supply that's not used and I ordered another pcie 8 pin to test it out but doesn't come until a few days. Just wondering if any of you have heard of this issue. It's always possible the card is a dud I've heard of that happening randomly. I just want to eliminate all possibilities before starting the return process as that will still take weeks to finally get a new card.

Normally i would not use 2 plugs off the same cable to power a GPU.

Also looking at the last picture it looks like your card is a little high in the slot and the monitor cable is actually hitting the case, which might cause it to not plug in all the way.

Gotcha yeah I unscrewed the bracket and made sure the HDMI and Display are fully connected as that was one of my thoughts as well. I will double check this after work.
