is that $340 US???
cause im in australia. thatd work out to be about a 500$ kit here.

For those who (like me) are tempted to give up and get the ASUS PN532 deluxe (ie the nvidia 4 chipset sli)… I have heard from a number of sources that there may be problems with the current BIOS.

I remember reading most of those issues including Core 2 support have been resolved in bios updates. As long as its a recent purchase it seems to have very few issues if any. Some say its good to clear the CMOS just to be sure (return / refurb issues I think).

In any case untill I get my new setup perfected I'm not ditching my old PC just yet.

I know it's anoying, but hey, the link on "www.vadim.co.uk" will direct you to the 570 SLI board. What the..........

Are you sure about that? Because I just checked out everything that you might be talking about, and it all leads me to the board that says - "Chipset NVIDIA nForce® 590 SLI™ Intel Edition" for the chipset.

Eh, yeah...U.S. dollars. Corsair Activity LED XMS2 RAM is not the cheapest RAM, but I have had outstanding performance results with it. And actually, that equates to about $445.00 AUS - or under $400 AUS if you lose the activity lights...but your right, no savings compared to what you have found. Sorry, I had missed the AUS after the currency prior.

Also sorry to stray from topic :?

Cheers mate!

Also sorry to stray from topic :?

No need to apologize, I actually think discussing differently performing RAM modules in this board is remotely on-topic. The problems occur, and if I may see bold as to state that, when others post incorrect information and should be corrected. (Atleast I think.)

Hope all is well. 8)

yeah, 100% sure. If you click the "go" beside "Product's Webpage" on the "http://www.vadim.co.uk/ASUS+P5N32-SLI+Premium+WiFi-AP+%281066+FSB+Conroe%29" page, you will be directed to the "P5N32-SLI Deluxe"'s page, which is using nForce 4 chipset.

The funny thing is that you just can't find any 590SLI Intel edition products on any of Asus's website now (global, usa, tw......)

except this one:
http://zeus.asus.com/hq/products4.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=337&m...l=1325&

I don't know what the first word "zeus" mean, do you?

I just spoke with the individual who personally posted this item listing on this site. It seems Asus has indicated to the company that Asus will begin shipping the board on 9/4, and therefore the company hopes to receive the product sometime between 9/4 and 9/11. However, it remains uncertain whether the retail channel will receive product this soon, or even whether Asus will actually manage to begin shipping on the date they have specified (9/4). I have yet to locate a SKU from any distributor, and it appears everything is currently being managed as backorders, even with distributors. In conclusion, there is a chance availability could be soon, yet still limited. However, as we remain in the grip of Asus, it could just as easily be the end of September. At least there are a few hints of at least limited availability... if that means anything. Regardless, I have made a pre-order with the above retailer, in the event that they happen to receive the product before I am able to receive it myself from a distributor. Since there are 23 pre-orders ahead of me, I doubt results. I paid with a "check" for now, so they don't have my money and I'm not losing anything. It's better than nothing at this point.

Haha, Well hopefully there is people in this topic who have enough time to do thins like that, contact ASUS, call them etc etc

Thanks cloakedhunter too :)

Since it took years to be released I dont think it might come "Buggy" as you call it. But, since im getting it like ending september, I might be able to check some reviews first.

well maybe buggy is a bad word but i mean you know issues causing us to update bios alot. Is it worth holding out for one of these boards? Im just scared with all the issues ive heard with the current asus and gigabyte boards that i think it will be better when 590 comes out

If you just wanna be sure what you are getting, do what im gonna do, wait for reviews. Thats gonna tell you how good is this board ONLY.

If you want to know if this board has some kind of errors, bugs etc etc, wait at least 2 or 3 months to let the pros do that job (Which after 3 months of waiting I dont think you will want to wait 3 more months just to see if this motherboard wasnt what you were waiting for)

So, if it comes with errors or bugs, doesnt matter. You know, I have been waiting for this board, I want it. I dont know how perfect is gonna be but it has many options for upgrading etc. If for any reason after some time, people find problems with BIOS and ASUS starts releasing 3 BIOS a month, then I can just update the BIOS and solve whatever problem it has. Im sure whatever problem they have, they will be unimportant. After 3 months of testing, I dont think they might release a d*cksucker motherboard.

Now, DFI is making it so looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong, thats all i have to say.

well i was tossing up between
corsair 6400 800mhz 5-5-5-12 $334 (AUS)
and
OCZ platinum 800mhz 4-5-4 $389 (AUS)

however after an email to the store owner he replied he suggested this G.Skill kit
G.Skill PC6400 800mhz 4-4-4-12 $387 (AUS)

i see teh timings are faster however when i was asking friends in the know what RAM to get they said OCZ and corsair make good sticks. Is G.Skill a good brand? It looks alrite to me.

Newegg is now offering a $40.00 (USD) instant savings off the following RAM:

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Cas Latency: 4
Heat Spreader: Yes
Manufacturer Warranty: Lifetime
Timing: 4-4-4-12
Voltage: 2.0V-2.1V
Model #: F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ
Item #: N82E16820231065

Newegg - G.SKILL RAM

The cost for this RAM is now 'only' $249.99 (USD) or $325.00 (AUD)

A great deal for 2GB of 6400 G.SKIL RAM and a great match for the Conroe for someone who is trying to be cost effective with their build.

Cheers!
