Probably enough people waiting fro the major board makers like asus, msi, Dfi and so on to come out with their boards that the 2 that are out now will sell a little slower.

After looking at the warranty information on that EVGA board...I am really tempted to just go that route!! There is no way I can afford the $350-$400 for a mother board! Only if I went down to one gig of ram!! LOL

If it was a bit cheaper, I wouldn't have any reservations about jumping on it right now. I might hold out to see what others have to offer

Guys! Guys! Guys!!!!!!!!!! WAIT! I JUST MISSED THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!

Omg the stupid bus driver of my school RETURNED THE DAM BUS (YES) from middle of the way back to the school cuz she said we were too noisy. So I had to take a bus with some friends and came late home. Then I had to go to church and god! I see 2 new pages! (makes me happy though:) )

So, I took my time to read everything, I wanted to be the first one to get the ASUS motherboard but I see the price tag is $400 thats way toooo high for my budget. So what can I say? Ill have to wait more until it comes down to $300. Sorry guys I said I wasnt going to wait anymore but I wanna get an ASUS board anyways.

Now, the eVGA looks like a good board too! and I never heard about a BFG board... maybe its gonna be good too. I dont know.

Just one more thing, when ZZF knows about a new released product I dont know if you noted this but they put in on their page and put it as Out of stock until they have enough. After 2 weeks they start lowering the prices. So I think I will have to check the prices from now on.

Thanks for remembering me 😀

Regards
Diego

"Biostar, BFG Tech, ECS, EVGA, and XFX will offer nForce 680i SLI motherboards designed and manufactured by Nvidia itself. Other motherboard manufacturers, meanwhile, may choose to tackle the new chipset in their own way. One of those manufacturers is Abit, which has announced its new 680i-powered IN9 32X-MAX motherboard."

Heres the abits board and the page interestingly list Quad core support?!?!?

M8DNanite.... yep, Quad core!! That's part of the reason we've been waiting for these, you can upgrade in the future to Quad Core!

Slim....BOUT DAMN TIME YOU SHOWED UP!! LOL Good to see you finally made it!! Thought maybe you died from Sticker Shock!! LOL

Well I haven't decided yet what I'm gonna do! That evga looks good price wise and warranty wise. I am really interested in what the rest of the companies are gonna do! I might wait until just after the 11th just to see if that's when they plan on releasing there stuff, in conjunction with that Nvidia thing happening that day at all those stores.

We'll see, I might break down in the middle of the night, not being able to sleep, and buy one!! LOL

Only problem with that Abit, is that it doesn't support ddr2-1000. All others I know of do and well, all 680i support quad core. I'm happy with the eVGA, and hopefully my mobo will come in Friday with the eVGA 7950gt KO I got from newegg. 8) Then I play the waiting game and buy some memory, hdd, and the cpu on the 25th.

Damn, that is way too much for a mobo. $300 is even pushing it. I guess I am going to have to delay my build 1 month now and see the reviews on the other mobos, but the wait will be so worth it

So what exactly are the differences in performance between the Striker Extreme and the P5N32-E SLI?

Striker Extreme:

P5N32-E SLI:

Both nForce 680i, the Striker Extreme has more heatpipes and a lcd on the backpanel showing post information... oh and the Striker Extreme comes with much more accesoires and software (including Ghost Recon and 3DMark06 Advanced Edition). But what are the performance differences?

Well they must be changing the P5N32-E Sli because that wasn't using the 680i Chipset before.... wasn't that using the 590?? Isn't that the model number they used for the premium board we were all waiting for until they announced the 680i's??? Too early in the morning for me to be trying to think! LOL

P5N32E-SLI appears to be a new board.. Very similar to what the others are offering, EVGA, BFG, etc...
Haven't found a price on it yet. However, ExcaliberPC is now listing the Striker. Looks to be a bit cheaper than ZZF, Striker Extreme

They're also showing an ETA of 11/22. I'm guessing once released the board drops down around the $299 range.

The premium was P5N32-SLi Premium. The differences are quite clear, and to be frank, I'm too lazy to list them out here when you can just as easily read them yourself. Performance wise, they will most likely be the same. That P5N32E is probably just their base model that will go for less than the Striker, because obviously they priced themselves out of people's budget.

well guys i bought my new PC yesterday, the new striker board from NCIX should be in here in a week.

I'll keep you posted on how she runs/ installs and what not
PEACE!

Ya i'm getting the Corsair XM2 Twin 8500c5d in short is the DOMINATOR
