Well I'd go to places like East Luna and xPCGEAR and Amazon and put in a "Notify Me" thing. They are all listed cheaper than Newegg and are good companies!

So far the best price on your board looks like Amazon, plus free shipping! Keeps it under the $350 mark for dad! LOL

For meon the Asus board, Xpcgear is the cheapest when shipping is added! LOL

well I couldnt find the notification button but I saw some people writing on the forums of the striker extreme that they ordered the board and their estimated shipping date was on decemeber 28. By that they, every e-tailer should have it available dont ya think?

I just noticed the package deal at Amazon if I got the 6600 Cpu and the Asus (not striker).

Do me a favor, go to Amazon and look at that combo...I'm not sure if I'm seeing right!! That would bring the board down in the $230 range...hmm

even when I love this board so much, days go by and I when I see it in stock, I dont get excited anymore. I just want to see the day in which this boards will be in stock and wont go out of stock in 20 mins and stay for days... in other words the day in which demand for this board is over...

I am exactly at where you are. I dont think I will be buying a Striker anymore. Stopped looking for it. Trying to decide if the Evga is the way to go. Many many are happy.

If you are not going to run Raid on your PC....you're right, I think the EVGA would be the way to go! Striker has too long to go before it falls into a buyable price range for me!! LOL

Hey guys, I got my computer up and running to spec now. I haven't OCed since I found out about my hsf problem. But I did go ahead and download 3DMark05 and 06. Here's my specs so far:

e6600 @ 2.4ghz
2gigs of ddr2-800 mem
250gig SATA harddrive (no raid)
8800gts (using the 97.44 drivers)
eVGA 680i motherboard
zalman 9500LED
Ultra X-finity 650watt psu

3DMark05: 13866

3DMark06: 8999

All in all, I think those are some pretty nice scores. Once I OC the cpu and install my other 8800, I think I'll score over 10k easy on 06 and over 20k on 05.
