Heh heh, I just read through the first 5 pages of this thread, seems to be lots of "when when when when??" - Exactly my question. The suspense has been killing me and I just had to skip to the last page and see if it held the answer.

Appears it did not but seems we - and I say we because I am of likemind to all of you :S - are getting closer and closer.

Hang in there all, I want this board quite badly. Want to start a build, seems like dual core is the way to go, seems like core 2 duo is the way to go, seems like intel is the winner again, and then I start hearing about this magical motherboard that has loads of features, and lots of SLI action, and lots of sweetness, and I says.... YES! SHE WILL BE MINE! But I am stuck waiting.

(And yeah, I am aware that was run-on sentence. 😀)

Anywho, I have welcomed myself to the hunt, soon it shall hopefully bear fruit, it has been long enough.

Hmmm Physics? When will nVidia release Physics? Cuz I heard they will but never when.

Also, that board doesnt have anything related to the P5N32 SLI SE because is a different chipset.
You might consider it "the better version" of the P5N32-SLI

I also want that board. I cant wait till its release, I plan to buy but I pray It will be bug free. I bought the 7900gt cards when they first came out and I am finally getting my replacements next wednsday. It took them forever to fix the problems with that card!

I question why a physics card would be needed when I will have 4 cpus. I could probably afford to have one of those CPUs dedicated entirely to physics. Why would I want to spend more? Thankfully I dont think game manufacturers are going to hamstring us into having to have that useless piece of hardware.

Slightly confused here, so...

Seems we have found a board by ASus that is Intel, supports Core 2 Duo, has the nForce 590 series chipset, and has all the excellent features that we have been talking about?

If I am understanding correctly, this board is called the "P5N32-SLI Premium/WiFi-AP" - and is found at this link?

Link Here

There are so many different boards, yet there are so few boards, and most aren't Asus, eek, I get confused quite fast. If someone could clarify, I would be quite grateful.

Headed to work now, back in three hours. Thanks

This is basically the board that all the hype is about, it is an Asus board with the new nVidia nForce 590 SLi chipset that supports Intel processors, most notebly the Core 2 Duo...

Ah, yes, thank you for the confirmation. Just what I thought.

Problem #2 still stands, when does that attractive piece of modern computer engineering become availible to ordinary people such as myself. 😀

.:Edit:.

Another question... After reading everything I can about that P5N32-SLI Premium/WiFi-AP from Asus, I seem to have a problem. On the nVidia website, under the nForce 590 for Intel product features page - LINK - I see that the "nTune 5.0" utility set is included in the nVidia 590 chipset.

The conflict is that on the Asus page for the P5N32-SLI Premium page - LINK - I see nothing mentioning this.

My question is... Does this mean that the nTune utilities are included in the Asus board purely because they are part of the nVidia nForce 590 chipset feature list? Or are they maybe not supported by Asus? Maybe they are and Asus is merely not advertising this fact, seeing as they are advertising the board, not the chipset (which they don't even make.)

Eek

The link for the P5N32-SLI Premium board is at zeus.asus.com. This isn't
the usual Asus site I use (usa.asus.com), and I don't find any
information about this board at the latter site. Why? What's the "zeus" site?

Im asking that question to myself too. Where did that .zeus website came from? Nobody has that board yet, not even on eBay.

If you go to the global site, you find nothing as well as the USA site. not even taiwan japan or china. And when I put my mouse over all the countries, the webpage of any begins with zeus. so where did this info came from?

Here's another zeus page if that helps

http://zeus.asus.com/hq/

Looks no different than all the other asus home pages. It is in english however, maybe it's supposed to be ZE us(united states) or something like that.

Looks like .zeus might be a site where asus can preview thier pages and product listings before putting them on all the sites. Here's a login page for it

http://zeus.asus.com/zeus/

Page title reads "ASUSTek Computer Inc Zeus System V2.0"

I really dont like that

they should just put it :)

So when is this awesome board be available to buy?

Possibly soon due to it's listing being put up. I will wait for reviews though, because if this doesn't beat out the P5W for OCing, i'll just grab one of those and use hacked drivers.

Arg, the plot thickens still. I posted on PCmech forums at this link - LINK - and people seem very matter-of-fact and non-responsive to the idea of discussing a product not yet released.

Yeah, I agree that Zeus is some sorta test site for Asus, it would make sense. Man, I think when this board hits pre-orders, I will try to pre-order it. Normally, that might not be the best idea due to quirky BIOS, firmwares, and stuff like that. When I think about it, I rationalize that the actual board when it comes out is going to be the exact same when it has been out for a month, as far as hardware. I guess it would just be good to get every BIOS update the moment it comes out.

I'm going to go have a peep at tigerdirect, and see if they have anything of the sort, and do some froogling for it etc etc. If I get any results, I will re-post or edit them in.

Any ideas how much a piece like this might cost? I've got about 240 in the bank to throw at it but I doubt that'd be enough...

With all the Core2 hype it will definatly be more than $240. If your on a budget your best bet is to just drool and get the 570 board thats out now. The premium you pay for the extra performance is very high. And in 6 months the board will probably be priced near $200 anyway.

Hmm I would better get the 590, why? Because there is a lot of % that it will be kentsfield compatible so when whenever a low-price kentsfield comes out I will have a kentsfield ready motherboard.

Also it supports DDR-800, and will have 3 Pci express ports, what else would you like?

DUDE DID YOU SEE THE PRICE OF THAT BOARD?!?!?!

It's $1400!!! Probably a typo or something but OMG!

Its coz they dont have any in stock. As soon as they do the price will drop to like $200.

They do that to rip off the dumbasses who order early.

so if you go to support section on asus's main website, you can even find a bios for the new 590 board (P5N32-SLI Premium) for download already.

Version 0201 2006/08/17 update
Description P5N32-SLI Premium BIOS version 0201
1- First release BIOS
File Size 552.8 (KBytes)

THere's no manuals or anything else available for dl yet though.
