There is a lot of talk about quad core sli setups but have you seen the benchmarks that toms hardware had on the quad sli set ups. More often than not they got beat but a simple 7800gt sli or a single x1900xtx card. For the most part it is a total waste of money to even think about running quad sli because the price to performance ratio is horrid besides unless your running on a 30" lcd with a huge resolution there is not reason at all to go with quad sli you mine as well be burning your money, you dont get the kind of performance boost from the 4 cards as you would running a couple of 7900gtx's in sli or even a top of the line ATI card. And if you were talking about getting quad core cpu support from most of what I have read most any of the conroe boards will support the kentsfield, I belive that is the codename for the quad core intel chip coming out later this year.

Not at all I look everyday on the net for new info. Including this thread. I'm ready to build my PC as soon as this mobo comes out... frustrating..let me tell ya.. Im hearing september now instead of august for release...blah

heh, september if we're lucky... P5N32-SLI Deluxe SE is not even fully in the retail market.. we'll be seeing these till we're blue in the face before we start seeing 590s.

I just wish nvidia or asus would at least throw us a bone. Give us an update as to where they are at. I'm about to just go with a 975x board. I can't wait till after september for the 590 chipset.

i broke down and bought an P5N32 SE deluxe sli..

i don't regret it either, i'm not gonna wait forever for this crap to release. i'll let you guys know how it is :)

OMG is August 12 and nothing new guys

I sent an email to ASUS and they said they are NOT planning to release any 590 Intel mobo for now.

Please add any information you have, contact ASUS and nVidia so we can share what they tell us.

From the info I'm getting from the web, this board won't be released for another 4 weeks. This could mean another 1-3 weeks before they become available online to buy.

As I already sold my old PC parts and have all the new parts (e6600,2x7900gt,corsair xms2 pc6400 etc) cannot be without a PC for much longer I have now ordered the Asus P5W DH. I have a copy of the hacked SLI drivers that I will use with it. They are also available from guru3d.com in the forums.

Also the 590 SLI when it comes out will use the old C19 chip. See here. This has been confirmed with the previews on the web. This means that it will not overclock to good. As the FSB will be the limiting factor in overclocking the conroe I don't want a board with old technology(c19) and can't overclock as much as I would like.

Should I wait for this new motherboard or pick up a Asus P5W DH Deluxe 975X?

Also, what is the SLI hack I hear about for the Asus P5W DH Deluxe 975X?

the Sli hack even its name gives you the idea, is to use SLI (nvidia geforce videocards) on intel motherboards.

nForce 5 is gonna take long as I see, but is gonna be a good motherboard. it will change all that bad stuff peeople is talking about

How well does the SLI hack work? Is it a 100% working hack? And what are the chances that NVidia will do something to counter the hacked driver? I would hate to get this set up and have to constantly deal with waiting for updated hacks or bugs.
