I installed OpenRgb and now my PC is making constant connecting USB sound. I accidentaly "enabled" rgb on my motherboard (MSI B550-A PRO). My motherboard doesn`t support rgb. Ever since I did that my pc is making a constant USB connecting sound and it`s driving me insane. I disabled the sound in the sound options but the pc is still acting wierd and sometimes I can`t click things on a drop down menu because its popping and closing. I installed USB Deview and have found the issue to be a USB Input Device - Port #0011.Hub_0001. I have tried disabling it and uninstalling it but it keeps popping up. It also says MYSTIC LIGHT at the same time. I uninstalled MSI center but without any success. I tried also updating MSI firmware, clearing CMOS, new bios, new raid driver, new windows, but with no luck.

I would try to uninstall the RGB software from control pannel. I would check for any RGB related options in the BIOS. I would uninstall any MSI app and reinstall them if you need them, otherwise just live without them.
I would reinstall every driver.

If none of that solves it I would reinstall Windows outright

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

How many USB devices are connection and what are those devices?

Take a look in Reliability History/Monitor.

There may be some error code, warning, or even an informational event being captured that occurs just before or at the time of the USB connect/disconnect sounds,

Overall, as I understand the problem description my thought is that there is a loose or defective USB connection,

Maybe a port, cable, or device,

Disconnect all USB devices to determine if the USB sound ends.

Then, if the sound stopped, try reconnecting each USB device again one at a time and allow time (at least one restart) between device additions.

Another option (before doing a Windows reinstall) is to run the built-in Windows troubleshooters. The troubleshooters may find and fix something.

Next try "dism" and "sfc /scannow".

I had the same issue where the windows sound effect of connecting and disconnecting was constantly playing. I used the workaround of turning off windows sound effects.
