Hey guys,

I got new RAM recently ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D41 16GB 2x8GB 3000mHz (AX4U300038G16-DT41) and it has been giving me issues on my AsRock AB350M Pro4 w/ Ryzen 2700x.

Both XMP profiles don't work and I'm confused. The only way I can get my system to boot up in dual channel mode is through XMP, and it's kind of luck-based. Sometimes my computer will boot up, but otherwise, it goes through the Fail Safe process and resets the RAM settings. When it resets the RAM settings, it shows up at 2666 mHz in single channel. I need the sticks to boot up in dual channel because I'm forced to use only 8GB in Windows instead of 16GB - the other 8GB is in hardware reserved when it's in single channel.

The memory is not on the QVL but I'd like to try anything I can first before returning the memory.

While writing this post I noticed that some other websites are saying that the CAS latency is 16-18-18-36 so I'll try fiddling with that and I'll update you guys if it works. I bought it off Rakuten and it's like the only website that's saying that it's 16-20-20.

Has anyone had a similar issue before that's willing to help?

Few things to note:
I have the latest BIOS
I have more than enough PSU headroom
CPU is at stock clock
Memory was bought in a kit so it should run in Dual Channel
Sticks are in A2 and B2

Thanks

Edit: The sticks seem to boot up reliably in 2666 mHz 16-16-16-39 and 2933 mHz 16-18-18-36 as of today, but not 3000 mHz.

Yeah I figured. However, I still have cold boot issues in both 2666 and 2933. Whenever it runs in 2933, it's relatively stable as demonstrated with memtest86+. Also, outside of the cold boots, I can get the RAM running in dual channel. It's usually the first boot after being off for a bit that causes it to run in single channel - it goes through the power cycling process and then resets the RAM to the default single channel.
Anyone have suggestions?
