Hello,
I've had my build for around 10 months now (specs below), its had it problems here and there but nothing i havent gotten past. however recently it's been having issues powering on, sometimes it powers on completely fine, others the power button just does nothing (so far only seems to happen over night) the way i've been getting around it is by making sure the motherboard 24 pin is connected correctly and if that doesnt work then i unplug the front panel power sw connector which fixes it, wondering if its a PSU issue, motherboard or case problem, thanks in advance for any support.

Mobo: Strix B550-F Wifi
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x
Ram: 32gb Corsair Vengeance CL16 3600 4x8GB
GPU: Strix 3070ti
PSU: Corsair RM850x (2018 model i believe)
Case: Corsair 5000x
Storage: 980 Evo 1tb & 970 Evo 250gb

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. When it happens, does the PSU fan at least start spinning a little bit? If nothing at all happens, I'd suspect the power switch connection first. You could do it like Steve for a while to see if it reliably works. If so, you will know the issue is on the power button the cable that connects it.

I can get it started, just to do so i have to unplug and replug in my power switch connector, the thing is when my pc turns off, my motherboard RGB stays on, but then when i come back into my room in a morning to turn it on theres no rgb

Sounds like your Start (power switch) on your case stuck in on position, it's just a momentary normally open switch just like for doorbell for instance.

The idea of starting the PC with a short is to avoid using the switch. If that always works, you will know the issue is the switch.

As for the RGB being on when you turn it off, if it stays on for a few seconds this could be just the power accumulated in the PSU and motherboard still discharging. If it stays on for minutes or more, I'd check if your power button is not set to "sleep" in your OS. It's not uncommon for a PC to have issues coming back from sleep mode, although I don't see how reconnecting the power switch would fix that (unless you are holding it for 10s or so as you do it, which forces a shutdown). To troubleshoot this, make sure your power button action is set to "Shut Down".

Its been fine for past 2 days overnight, and as for the RGB it usually stays on overnight, its a setting in bios from the motherboard i have. As for the power button options, its set to shutdown, and i only use power button to power on, i shutdown through windows menu.
I've contacted corsair, just waiting for a response as of right now.

After reseating the front panel connectors, as of right now seems to have sorted it, but cant be 100% sure.

I'll be sure to reply with further information depending on what corsair say.
