Hi.
I faced a problem recently.
When I connect to OpenVPN UDP sometimes my ping goes so high and it was ok a week ago.
First I thought maybe it is the vpn server problem so I tested it with my friends pc and there was no problem and no ping spikes!
I'll leave photos below.
And I have another problem.
My ping is fine in games but if I open discord app or anything that uses internet my ping goes as high as it's not playable anymore.
I reinstalled my windows yesterday and it didn't fixed so I guess it's not a software issue.
And my connection is with LAN Cable and not Wireless.

Can you print us your route table when connected to VPN ("route print"). This is to figure out whether all traffic is being routed to the VPN of just some networks.

If you need the VPN to access specific local networks elsewhere, then the rest of the traffic should not be routed there to prevent unnecessary bottlenecks (and probably latency issues).

If you do need all traffic to be routed through the VPN (to get around an ISP block, for instance), then try creating a specific route to an arbitrary address (like google dns) just so you can test the ping through the VPN and without it simultaneously. This should help figuring out if the issue happens to all connections on your side or just those on the VPN tunnel.

Looks like the pretty standard messiness you see when you are running a VPN.

It does appear all your traffic is going via the vpn.

If you run speedtest when this is up do you get reasonable numbers.....ie you are not for some reason exceeding the rate you can get by vpn and causing the ping spikes.

Can you try another data center location for the vpn company

Can you try this without the vpn or is the vpn required to get access to the game. This is only to see if it is vpn causing the problem or if there is some more generic issue with other software on your machine.
