If I were (again) the parent of a 12 year old, this is what I might consider buying them. After a full summer of cutting the grass, washing the cars, etc, etc.
$250

We all did things when we grew up, too. It's called growing up, learning, and bettering ourselves as people.

Giving a 12-year-old $6,000 to blow as irresponsibly as possible in return for doing extracurricular activities? Serious parenting fail here.

big deal. anyone can do algebra and all those activites. but no one gets paid to do so.

you arent getting the point of my recommendation because my rig performs EXACTLY THE SAME. go ahead and buy it.

lets go through this again shall we?

-what are you going to do with 4 evga t-shirts hm?
-cool that you have 4 titans. but a 780 performs the same as a single titan and its overkill for 1080p
-i hope you can lift. because what you put together probably weighs as much as you
-you have 3 monitors of different sizes. do you know how that would look? if i came into your cave and saw that, i would laugh my head off.
-hey cool! you just spent 1k on a SSD that doesnt perform better than my 150 dollar SSD
-tell me what you are going to do with 32gb of ram. because gaming only requires 8
-that heatsink doesnt cool very well
-you have 2 tubes of thermal paste. 1 is enough for 3 computers
-do you use LN2? if you do, go ahead with the maximus extreme. otherwise forget it
-what are you going to do with 3 ethernet jacks?
-sickleflows are crap
-what are you going to do with 10 usb ports?

It's for the best. $3000 still buys you a highest-of-high-end rig.

Even at half your initial budget, you are the 1%. And hey, maybe your parents will eventually put that money towards something you want more later. Trust me, you're not gonna have the attention span to get anywhere near full benefit out of a $6,000 gaming computer. In a couple years, the thing might even be collecting dust as you chase skirts. :)

(For your sake, I hope so!)
