Question PLEASE POWER DOWN AND CONNECT PCIe POWER CABLE(S) FOR THIS GRAPHICS CARD

I have a gtx 660 hooked up to my corsair cx450 (should be plenty enough of power to run it right?), and there are two 6-pin connectors on the card but the psu only has one. I thought the card only needed the one 6-pin but either it needs both or the connector is broken. Would it be fine if I get one or two dual molex to 6-pin connectors or do I need a different psu. I’ve put my sysem into power calculators and its only about 400w max load so it shouldn’t be the psu right? Btw: the fans on the card spin when on and there are two green lights on next to the connectors when the one is plugged in, and when I unplug the connector usually one of the lights or both will turn off. Pls help, thanks

You need a CX550 , not an adapter.

Are you sure? Most websites said my load was only 400w. I just want to know if I have any other options before I return the psu for a new one

Its just that power supplies weren't desined to run cards in that manner. I always advise against it.
