It is DDR3 Ram, Which means your Motherboard can support it. Currently I am getting ready to O.C. my processor, with the help of my friend of course. But I am using a pair for Ripjaws that were labelled @1600 mhz @1.5 V. All I had to do was up the voltage to 1.6V and I got them running @ 1866. Obviously you can select any number inbetween, but 1866 just seemed like a good finish line. No fans required, the heatsinks do the job well. I have had it crash only once on me, and I have had the system since late Summer. G Skill works fine for me, but I have nothing against Corsair either. At my workplace we use custom built machines, which I have all built myself, and it is company policy to use Corsair Ram. We buy vengeance but we never OC or nothing, its more of a quantity of RAM rather than its speed. In any case, you can find a pair of Vengeance with the same timings, clock speed and voltages that are identical to G Skill. I use G Skill, so I recommend it. OCing them was a snap. ahnilated clearly has had worse luck than I have with G Skill. All I can offer you are my personal experiences and regurgitate benchmarks from this website.
