I have a HDD that I retrieved from a dead laptop, and I want to put it in a Hard drive docking station, to plug into my other working laptop to get files off.
But my only concern is that this is a hard drive from a windows 7 laptop, whereas the files I'll be sending it to is a windows 10 laptop. Is this safe and will it work? I've heard about other people mentioning this and I don't want to harm my laptop if it does so. This is also my first time using this sort of adapter.
