Question Samsung 9910 Pro vs 990 Pro for boot drive

According to their website 990 Pro's random read is 1,200,000 IOPS and 9910 Pro's random read is 1,850,000 IOPS (For 1TB and 4KB, QD32). Would this have any noticeable difference when booting up the computer?

$100.00 more expensive for a 9910 just for a knocking off a spit second windows boot time? Not worth it unless you have other uses in mind.

No, you’d be hard pressed to notice the difference between a nvme a few generations older and a 9910 for windows startup.

1. No. Even a difference of a couple of PCIe generations is not visible.

2. "boot time" is a poor metric to chase

Windows boot would be more random QD1 than anything.
And if it weren't for Fastboot, You'd be amazed at how good a sata SSD compares to even a WD Sn850x nvme drive.
