Yes. No fix yet for me atleast...
Everytime I go on to tomshardware I have to log in.
When I am here and typing this now, and after I am finished and click on the tomshardware icon on top left corner so I can see the forum live feed... login again...

This sounds like an improvement from what was happening before. Are you logged out after making a post in the forums or navigating to a new page on the forums? Does the issue only happen on the main site?

Hi everybody!

I'll try to sum up my feedback.

1) I like the look of the new login system and all the social media buttons (I don't use them but I'm sure some do). Visually, this new system is much more appealing.

2) I like how when it glitches and logs me out, it remembers my account and I just have to click it to log back in.

3) It does still glitch and log me out. When I navigate to different forum categories, I sometimes receive an error 504. This appears to be coupled with when I get logged out of the site. However, I do sometimes get logged out without first getting the error.

Times when I get logged out: Navigating between forum categories, Leaving the site without closing the browser, closing the browser.

I haven't posted a thread since the new login system, but I did respond to a few threads and I didn't get logged out.

Can you please clear your cache and cookies for Tom's Hardware? This should resolve the issue. Let me know if you still are logged out after clearing your cache/cookies, and restarting the browser.

I was on the forums last before this happened. However, I did get to the forums by first going to tomshardware.com to look for new articles, then I dropped down the navigation menu to get to the forums. Don't know if previously accessing the main site would have any effect :??:

This morning I could not log into the site (login page would not come up). Fortunately I was still logged in to the forum. I suspect, however, that a proxy change at work may be in play here. I'll try it at home later tonight.

Hey there Onus,

We need more details. The login page would not come up? Were you using a direct URL? The login "page" itself changed from sso.tomshardware.com to https://www.tomshardware.com/login bear in mind. Did the pop-up modal not come up for you? Or did it, but you weren't able to click a button to login?

Need more specificity in order to narrow down the problem and replicate/resolve.

Thanks in advance!

Got an error this time.

The URL I went to was http://www.tomshardware.com/

That was the first page I visited this session.

All my cookies have been cleared.

I did not try to post a response when this happened.

Heya weber, just sent you a PM on discord. Let me know when you get it.

tried to comment on a news article today... no such luck...
asked me to sign in then threw up a page with no css formatting with the comment i just tried to post.

been getting sign in errors for weeks but i was hoping it was gonna be fixed by now.
then when i come to this topic it took 2 attempts to enter. the first time error 503

I haven't tried to commend on any articles yet, but I've been getting a lot of 503 errors. They seem to not care if I try again by clicking the link again. Instead, I have to refresh the page that's getting the error.

For example: I am on thread A. I hit to post an answer in full edit. I get error 503. If I go back to the thread and click the Answer button again, I get the same error. But if instead of going back, I refresh the page with the error on it, I can actually use the forums.

This seems a bit redundant, like something waiting for a new response when I only clicked once, then if I refresh but don't leave, it gets its second response? Just guessing here.

That 503 only happens like 1 out of every 100 times I try to respond to a thread, but it's annoying nonetheless.

I haven't gotten the mysterious missing CSS error yet though...

I'm not even sure its right of me to say im signed out, its that when just hitting my toms hardware bookmark will get me to the sight, not signd in, but hitting any thread or artical will sign me in

That's the issue at its most basic. There seems to be some sort of sign-in barrier between the forums and the main site. It seems that they're still trying to figure that out.

Most of the responses we've been receiving hint that it's either an issue of the main site using different cookies than the forums, or they have no idea what's causing it and are just saying "blame the cookies because we have no idea who/what to blame right now."
