I,ve been in the hobby of building computers for 3 years, give or take, and always with a shoestring budget, so a comp like this for a sweepstakes is defintly Drool-worthy (water resistant bib was NOT inculded). But, drool soaked trousers aside, after looking at the specs, I'm surprised after putting in water cooling in this Mid range monster, that they decided to go with a DVD drive instead of blu-ray.

I could really use this system. I've been wanting to build a desktop for a couple years but I'm in college and saving up for a better car, so I don't really have the extra cash. I'm still working off of the 3 1/2 year old HP laptop I bought for college. Not much gaming capability at all 🙁

I suppose I could always pull off the "needy and desperate" act... and suggest how "beneficial" it would be for me.. lol

but nah who am I kidding.. that's just way too melodramatic.

So let me just say this.. I "need" this machine cuz well besides it being super cool, I wanted to give Core i7 a try.

The more one stares at it.
Praying to God they get it.
It just simply gets more awesome by the minute.

I think it's level of awesomeness by now is over 9000!!!!!

30 f*cking pages, are you kidding me?! Who in the hell is jumping on the bandwagon to get this system!! I've been reading Tom's over well over a decade after finding out about it in Asia while in the Air Force... far and away the best news for IT geeks... however, 30 pages?! JESUS!!

Great idea.

I love the case, but doesn't the CPU seem just a touch underpowered? And that video card is just a little lower end... JUST KIDDING!!

So is Tom's saying that you can just contact Cyberpower and get a brand new computer?? MAN I have to try that!

So Tom's gets bonus, they get more activity, therefore more money from advertisements, some lucky idiot that has no clue about computers will win this, and Cyperpower gets more attention!?! Win win for everyone! Maybe that lucky idiot is me :)?

MORE POWER TO YA!

(Oh btw the pun was unintentional)

You know thinking back to the good old days when I was growing up.. We had a 286 system with 2MB of ram and that machine was a real number cruncher.. We never thought we would exceed that or have any use for something larger.. My grandmother used it to write a book and us grandkids used it to play games like street rod commander keen and 3demon.. Ahh the nostalgia.. Now we have come into the era of gaming that 1 graphics card and a 1k watt psu is barely enough to get the game running.. not to mention the ddr3 speeds and densities.. I mean I would be happy with just 8gb of memory, and now we are seeing an exponential growth in capacity. Moore's Law sure does have a lot to live up to.. Just look at the transistors of this CPU for example. There are more transistors in this machine than the worlds supply in lets just say the 1960's :).. I could really put something like this to great use.. If I am to win this system I would probably donate my older system to my nephew.. So he can have a computer to play with.. I wish we would have had toys like this when I was a kid.. But I guess somebody had to break the GHZ barrier to get to where we are now..

Hurricane 2000 Gaming Chassis, huh? Well I guess it's better than Hurricane Earl which is swirling our way as I write this. Hey, that gives me an idea. How about sending me one of these powerful systems early so I can use it blow that storm back out to sea? Either that or I can use it as a shelter, hook up all my essential appliances to the power supply, throw a "Disco Inferno" party (optional), and wait til the weather passes.

I love giveaways such as this particular one, mostly because I have an actual chance to win! The fact that the quality of my output is judged and hence decided upon makes me feel...almost welcomed personally; it makes me feel like I don't have an equal chance of seeing a monkey jump out of a horse's ass and then do a cartwheel. Now, the system itself, well...(looks at it in detail) I now need new pants--badly. I have never seen that little numerical six positioned next to a 'DDR3 RAM'. The mere mentioning of this fact makes my current computer, which is equipped with 1GB of DDR RAM, shit all over its sad self, which you might call my framerate in BC2. Liquid cooling? Hah. My PC has that too--if you pour water on it while trying to play Crysis, it acts "special", and makes purring noises. Hah. Optical mouse? I still have a ball mouse and it would 'roll' circles around that accurate, precise, comfortable mouse. And what's up with the USB peripherals? Everybody knows deep down that having and using the PS/2 ports is obviously superior. PSH!! GTX 460? Man, my 7900GS would just murder that thing in a fistfight (computer growls). Man, I don't even think I need to go further than that. The obvious blinding, blatant superiority of my *HP prebuilt system* is just hurting my face.

And oh yah, not to mention, I am actually the head LAN guy for our school's Nerd Club this year, and toting in my sad sorry piece of dung beetle crapface makes people sterile. If I got this incredible PC, when women see it they would drop twice the amount of eggs they are supposed to, and would be forced to take off their clothes in super slo-mo. Please give it to me. Om nom nom nom.

P.S. nom nom nom nom nom

P.P.S. I will keep an eye out in future articles for expressions I used here, to see how much awesomeness the TH staff picked up. (Ladies you can put your clothes back on now)

P.P.P.S. OK, last thing--Dudes, not being able to play any new games blows. Hard. Failsauce. And I promise not to use the pc for just high end stuff like Pong, but even the good old stuff from the first pc's, i.e. "Addition".

Agree on that. Well reminiscin' those good ol' days, "turbo button" still exist just to squeeze extra 20Mhz of its clock cycle. That time that system brings happiness and confuse to a little child letting them play doom that was incredibly different from "CONTRA". talking about this system right now it wont only bring happiness but it will bring a contentment to its future beholder.

I thought they had discontinued the i7/940? I would have though a good gaming system would include a couple of RAIDed raptor drives.
