Hi,

I'm putting an AM4 build together with:

Ryzen 5 5600x
B550 Board
MSI RX 6650 XT GAMING X 8G
32GB Ram

I was planning to buy the MSI Mag 650bn but after a quick search its Tier C with varying reviews
I'm not sure if the build would definitely require a 650w PSU but for upgradability I think it's best.
I'd also like Semi-Modular but doubt the budget will stretch.

Any suggestions?

Where will you buy it from?

The MSI Mag is about the only psu I'd consider in that price range.

For that price it seems like an incredible deal- and Novatech seem quite reputable.

This might be the one.

Novatech been around for years and PSU is solid I assume the price is simply they want stock shifted. I've bought from them before over the years they get some odd great deals here and there.

There's a good chance fsp or company that stocked them that novatech got a massive discount from them as well.

I plan myself to buy a few for my cousin's builds. If price stays same.

Thanks for your help.

Before I confirm the FSP, I've been offered a new Corsair RM750e for £60- would you still go with the FSP or does the Corsair seem like the preferred choice?

(I've just discovered ATX 3.0 lol and wondering if this might offer better GPU upgradability down the line).

If it's brand new never been used once it's opened then any other issues with actual new as well you have a warranty and a receipt to prove it so I would still go with fsp. To me piece of mind is better then higher wattage. Is the RM750e and who's offering it ?

All I'll say if it's a friend then it's your call it's a good deal since there about roughly 100 ISH pounds but the old saying if it's to good to be true it probly is.

If it's a friend it's your call on that gamble if you trust them enough if it's eBay I would say nope.

Power supplys age with use as well.
