I have Q8400 and GT610 with 6gb ddr3 ram. So, What my problem is that sometimes it turns on and works peacefully but sometimes shuts down randomly and the hdd doesn't read and makes some noise.

But when i turn off the pc and give a pat on the hdd it works fine. This started happening again and again. Recently i gave my 1tb hdd for recovering so i am using a 500 gb laptop hdd (2.5). Is it because of the hdd or motherboard or the psu. I checked PSU, with multi-meter its working fine.

The motherboard is brand new Zeb-G41-D3. Is it because of the laptop hdd that i use...

:coldsweat:

Solution
Windows 10?

Look in Reliability History and Event Viewer for error codes and warnings that correspond with the random shutdowns and/or HDD noises.

In any case be sure that all data is backed up and verified to be recoverable and readable.
