It wasn't an easy task, I was up to me knees in snipped zip ties..

I really envy people who have the ability, tools and know how to design and build things like that.

Bravo sir!

My new case! After getting this I don't know if I will ever go back to a mid tower.

Thanks Lutfij, the case is a dream to work with. I still have to hide the extra cables under the hard drives better, I was just growing very impatient after having to redo all my cables when my last power supply died.

Thanks Moto! I have a NZXT orange led light string to install (probably under case lighting) so I'm gonna take this time to work on the "niggle wires". Anything in particular stand out to you or anyone? Besides the ones under the hard drives, I already know about those ones.

Thanks

bottom right, there's a molex connector hidden by tubing. If that's a HDD, have it i the HDD tray. USB 3.0 cable can come from the lower grommet and the PCI-E cables can come from the top grommet.

But you're good as is-> just nagged cos you asked me to find a flaw 😛

The pci-e cables wouldn't reach from the top, sadly that's what I tried while I was initially wiring the case.

The molex connector you mentioned, are you talking about the sata power and data cables to the dvd drive?

I will have to change the usb 3.0 cable next time I crack open the case since I already installed the lights. The lights run under the case on both sides and around the front fan.

Can someone tell me how to change the old pictures to thumbnails so I don't clog up the thread?

Here's a new picture:

there's a small icon on the bottom right of your post, quick edit -> you can use that to edit text and edit a img or its tags.

for now I think you can leave it as is. Hopefully you can use the advice on future posts :)

* oh yeah , I forgot you got the drive bay res XSPC kit... silly me! Forget about changing the ODD cables, they are fine as swapping the orientation of the rad will make you loose out on that nice cable work :)

Actually it looks very good!

A good wiring job has to be planned from the beginning and as far as cables that won't reach with the hole provided that's what drills and rubber grommets are for, of course many are afraid to modify their new case but once you get into it, those fears are history!

Regarding your pictures if you use .png at 120 DPI and re-size them to a 450 pixel width, they won't cause problems here at THGF, Check This Out!

Edit: My Bad! I see you did do some modding at the P/S wire output area, that Rosewill P/S must have extremely short cable runs?

Maybe shorten a tube or two when you strip down (whenever you get to it) just to neaten the lines up, I know, you only have the slack to allow the res to come out a touch for topping up etc :)
fabric tape or similar to bunch the Pcie line together and same for the Psu wires at the bottom,
Theres not a great deal 'wrong' there it really is just tiny tweaks
If I used the standard grading system it's get you a B+,
The loose tubing, slightly loose wires and the ghetto mod fan on the gfx just drops you from A territory, but its still well above the average so enjoy it and tweak on the flush/rebuild :)
Moto

Due to the front panel being really easy to remove and no wiring going to it, I have no need to push the res out I can fill it with it screwed in place.

The slack on the res and other tubing is all due to the fittings I have, I really need to buy some different ones. All I currently have are straight 1/2" fittings and with the tubing also being 1/2" if I take any bends too sharply the tubing comes loose very easily.

What I need are some slightly larger fittings in straight, 45 degree, and 90 degree bends.

I plan on adding a drain valve in the near future to make draining the system easier and less risky. Once I can afford that I will replace all the fittings and shorten the tubing.

Curious Moto do you think that fan I put on the gpu is really needed or even beneficial at all? I just ended up with a bunch of extra fans so I decided to use them.

Thanks 4ryan6 for your input too, I didn't do any modding to the case. As you suspected I'm in the stage of I don't want to eff up my new toy.

It's not a full cover block that I have, actually it is a 1155 cpu block that I got really cheaply. The black plastic is what used to hold the fan shroud (or outer casing) on.

Here are links to a few shots of it in my old case, they offer better views of how I attached the block and what all is left exposed with no cooling if i remove the fan:

Unfortunately I don't have any photos from outside the case but I can tell you that mounting was simple with the use of two large zipties and some conveniently placed holes.

I should probably just install some of those small heatsinks as suggested in the watercooling sticky. Perhaps that will be added to the list of parts when I update all the fittings in my loop.

enjoy! [:lutfij:3]

:) hehe so you've caught on...I'll take some time to showcase the innards of the case when its operational. Right now, just looking at the ups and downs of the loops temps and the TIM has a burn in time :)

A while back was tweaking with the camera and the lighting's, maybe a day or two later I'll have them up however the build log has the pics of its innards while I was leak testing it.

Ok so yet another update to my rig:
New power supply and removed some of the unnecessary fans. Should be an update to the water cooling coming in the next few weeks (fittings, tubing, and a drain valve currently planned)
