Might be in the market for a new case soon.

Looking at stuff like: Coolermater CM 690 III, Corsair 400r, etc.

I really like simple cases. I like a mesh front panel but this is not required. I would definitely like a large window. Ideally I would like alot of space in the back panel for cables (this is important). I like cases with top plastic shrouds where you can mount a fan on top of the chassis itself but have it will be under the shroud and "in the case". (ex. CM 690 III has one and the 300r does not so you know what I'm talking about) MUST have removable drive bays.

Price has to be $100 or under. Really looking for stuff in the $60-$80 range but will consider anything up to $100.

Just saw the CM 690 III and it peaked my interests. Any other recommendations would be great.

This is why I love my job..
playing with these two puppies at the moment trying out the GTX850M chips

Ill send you one for 1400 bucks 😉

Ah that makes me think how over priced Laptops are. Like for another $100, you could get my PC. And that is way better than that laptop...maybe just cause their portability and small form factor.

1400 pennies you say? On my way.

Used ones may be cheap, but new ones aren't. Last I saw they were still over $500. Probably better to get a 770 as that thing is nothing more than a 680 on steroids.

Yeah, That does need a little more work. Haven't really had the time to do it. Probably will work on it when I go back in there for some cleaning.

My friend would like to have a laptop like that (He's going to the navy, so a desktop will not work haha)

Gonig to the computer store in a few, only have 900$ in credit to spend on my card, it's either going to be maybe a case, and a sennheiser headset. Or go nvidia surround and get 1 or 2 more asus 144hz monitors. (Have a 24" monitor laying around always)

Just got the logitech G35 headset......so far, for some reason I'm not liking it :L The sound isn't compareable to my Sennhesiers hd 380 pro. I think i'll return it tomorrow, and get a Blue yeti mic.

I know what Mantle is. It was spelled wrong in the post. My internet is screwing up a lot of stuff, so it's prob. My end. Mantle is also with the big bf4 hype 2.

So I got my 2nd 780ti installed......set everything up for sli and loaded up my custom bios onto the 2nd card. Had a quick second to run valley this morning and got a 4790 score. I think just too insure the top card stayes nice and cool im going to make a custom bracket to hold a 120 or 140mm fan to help pull cool air from front 230mm and blow it directly between the 2 cards. Should help a bunch.

Too bad about that DOA Stick. What brand and model?
I was expecting something today, but it was delivered on Wednesday; a Xantrex 600W (actually 540W) true-sine inverter. I don't know if I'll get it running this weekend or not; I've been sick as a dog all week. I came to work yesterday, but left early. I plan to make it all day today, but anticipate being super-slack this weekend.

azz- AWESOME score on Valley! That's nuts. As for the fan, I learned alot form my 560 SLI build a while ago. When you set up a fan to blow between cards, you will need to fiddle with the speeds alot to get it right. I added a fan to blow between my cards, and the temp of the top card actually went up at first by 5-6C. I read alot on Overclock.net and learned that if you have a fan blow along a GPU, if it is blowing too fast the force of the GPU fan can be over powered so instead of sucking in cool air, the air will blow right by and the fan will become an impeller of sorts and just circulate the air inside the card shroud and not letting new cool air in. Once you turn the speed of the 120mm fan down so that its velocity is less than the "sucking" volume of the GPU fan, the card will actually be able to pull in cool air and benefit. I had to run the fan at about 60% of it's max speed to get this to work. Any faster and the temps went up. This is mostly for blower style cards, but I'm sure the same issue could happen to some extent on your classified 780TI's. Something to think about.

Onus- Get better man! I took my Girlfriend to see Darius Rucker, Eli Young Band, and Corey Smith last night (she is a much bigger country fan than I, but I had a good time. This was part of her birthday gift. She loves Darius Rucker, so when I heard he would be coming to WVU I jumped all over it.) and I'm feeling like hell this morning. I didn't even drink. I'm pretty sure I have some kind of upper chest respiratory issue going on.
