that's possible!
now it's imperative that you check your logfile! check the file and look for the name of the "Protein" you are working on. If you are right and your client tries to fold the same workunit over and over again, you should delete these files in the "Folding@Home-Directory":
queue.dat
/work/*
the rest is nice but not necessary: unitinfo.txt; step*.pdb; blabla.
the things you need to keep are:
client.cfg
FAHConsole*.exe or winFAH.exe depending on which version you use. (graphical client or console). the rest will be created (work-dir; queue.dat) or downloaded (FAHCore*.exe)
actually once you delete "queue.dat", another workunit will be fetched (so this is the minimum you should delete)

@sjonnie: no worries; the update after I wrote the "milestone-post", you overtook ape again... so it hasn't been so long!

So did I come off as a troll or an Idiot. If it was Idiot I appologize (trying for troll). I did enter your team number but it was at frame 10 or so of 250 (I clicked accept WU's over 5mb) Its done at estimated 22:30 tonight (Wednesday) so we will see if your team gets credit. Either way I'm on your team to stay.

EDIT: 242 of 250 estimated time of finish 0:45AM Thursday.

I used to daily updates on our team page http://www.teamthgc.blogdns.org but cannot seem to find the time to keep up anymore. 🙁

Anyways, I was down a rig as I was updating my web/file server. Now that its up and running error free again, I reloaded F@H on it, so my production should go up some.

If it wasn't for the fact that electricity gets expensive, I have 2 more machines I could bring into the "Fold", but its bad enough running 3 machines 24/7.

Electric bill is my biggest problem. The only comp I leave on 16/7 is my new A64 but I'll list my others just to list them I guess. 2x486 (1 AMD 1 Intel) 1 Cyrix 6x86, 1 Pentium 75, 1 Pentium 90, 1 Pentium 120, 1 Pentium 166, 1 Pentium 166 MMX, 1 Pentium 200 MMX, 1 Celeron 333, 1 P2 350, 1 celeron 466, 1 p2 400, 1 P3 450, 1 P3 550, 1 Celeron 2.5ghz, 1 Celeron D 340, 1 P4 2.8. Wow 1/3 of which have Mobos but they all work, kinda a CPU collection to me.

Ps. That doesnt include all my Xt's to 386's.

EDIT: I Can post pics of 75% of them cpu's if you'd like. But who Remebers this: http://www.cpu-collection.de/?l0=i&i=1278&sd=1 And we wonder why AMD took so long to make an FPU worthy of competition.

I just reply for the famous 8)

Just a note, you can't be famous unless you piss everyone off at once (pretty hard) or you just prove smarter than them (Also really hard)

I am famous now yes?

You're a good sport. You should seriously meet Wingy. Go to the OTHER section and introduce yourself.

I've read some but I think I maybe to hardcore for him and if he's hardcore to you then I pity you fools.

EDIT: Someone like Wingy and I dont need or want friends, we like life like it is. Although my views are similar to his I am way more hardcore than him. (He may have actually had a girlfriend)

Welcome to the team...

strangly enough... i think you fit right in.

But for a Noob to tell off a stranger...thats a bit bold.

anyway,

As endyen says, I don't think we ever had more then 50 folders folding at one time, however you might notice that some ppl like myself only post their WUs every so often, so many will appear as tho they have stopped. I myself have very few WU's but atleast I make them worth there while.

...you say you've folding something? under the same handle?

PS...been a while for me, this Forum thing is going to take some getting used to...then again, i find myself haveing less and less time to come in so we'll see if i ever do.

BTW, can i have a Flash avatar? :!: I'm trying to make a Pong game for an avatar.

with regard to the who splitting up of Toms into other sites. At first i didn't think i'd like it. but then i came across one possitive aspect.

a freind lost alot of respect for many of the articals found on toms over the last year or so, speacialy in the audio related reviews.

now that its split up it seems as tho more editors may be playing a role and might make new light for the many that lost faith.

wether there are new ppl on the team or not... it looks that way, so it may bring back a few readers.

who know's.

I wont argue about the noob part since I'm not in troll mode at the moment. Anyway I get my stats straight from the stanford site so I dont care if you tell me when you finish WU's they do. No offence but atleast eveyone who posts here regularly should keep 1 active CPU per week. Yes I am folding and if you check with Stanford you will see a 600 point increase on your team by me. The other sites that moniter progress take up to 3 hours to update.

I unfortuanly only have access to one machine.

one that i do not leave on 24/7

and as of late, less then a few hours a day if at all.

so when it come to stats on demand ... its not all too important, not to me. Personally I prefer the OC. 3 Hrs when looking at the whole picture... is nothing. and i prefer the big picture, nicely organized and summed up.

Anyhow, Im glad your folding...and what a nice start to have.

Hope to see you pass me in a couple months.

mmm electricity bill. mines actually come down a little.
As the old mobo was shot i think she was sucking down an extroadinarily bad amount of juice.
but the new dualcore A64 is very efficient. one can just tell by how hot the study gets...and my overclocked x2 3800+ makes the room no hotter than the old Xp-M!

We know you are still a top single rig folder. Too bad you didn't save the F@H file. Then your rig would still show how many folds it's done. Oh well, you just have to look on one of the pages available.

Read his earlier posts. To make a long story short, he started folding for THGC, a couple of weeks ago. He moved to another team because he thought we were half fast. He talked to us, and started folding with us again.

...so my production should go up some
well that certainly makes it more interesting for me, since I simply cant keep up with apesoccers pace! ;-)
and hello Teh_Catman! Its also interesting for you! so new to the team and allready under pressure from...
and hello Fronsse! Our newest member has started on wednesday and allready has put in 10 workunits worth some 954 points! that's a good start! welcome to the team!

right... I read that...

but i could have swore that when i looked threw the standings he was not in it... not till the last WU upload.

maybe i was just blind.

or does switching teams move all earned points?
