So i built my griend PC and everything went well. But after a week of gaming his pc screen was a constant black screen and his gpu fans worked only a few seconds after booting. So i tried Some things and when i put the gpu in his second PCIe slot (Wijchen is a 4x pcie slot(top PCIE slot is a 16x)) everything worked fine. But he really wants his max performance so does anybody know why the top slot doesnt work.
things i tried:
i have updated the bios
Replug ram and cables.
i Think it has to do wijt the motherboard, but i read That cpu controls pcie 16/8x slots and not 4x.
another note: his cpu temps with the stock cooler were pretty high( 90+ while using cpu burner)
