This in my opinion is true as well. The cathedral key is required in order
to gain access to all hallows (roof access to the cathedral). Without the
key she would not be able to get in, and so not be able to start this level.
I guess this is just another reason to get all secrets. It would perhaps
have been nice to have an FMV in which she landed the helecopter and uses
the key, but that would have taken more time I guess, and it would also be
an additional FMV, as you would still need the existing one if all secrets
were not obtained.
