Hi, I’m new and have just upgraded my first pc for my son, I’m now looking to take it to the next level as I think I have taken it as far as I can.

Amd a8 7600
Msi a68hm-e33 v2
16gb fury hyper x ram (2x8gb)
GeForce Gtx 1050 ti
Corsair tx650m psu
Just about to add Samsung 860 evo 500gb to run windows etc
1tb wd hdd

Reckon my next move would be the mobo and processor, any recommendations as what to change to and move all my hardware over? I have a standard case so a new case recomendation would be good too along with some cooling. My budget is pretty flexible up to around £400 for the right futureproofed kit.

My son uses it for gaming, the most intense game he plays is Fortnite atm, he is only 9 but want something that can be upgraded in time.

Thanks in advance.

Anything more future proof or has a relatively good upgrade path would also require new RAM along with the CPU and motherboard you mentioned. Others will have better suggestions but tentatively something like this could be considered:

The other components like the graphics card, hard drives and PSU can be kept. Would double check on the Windows licence if it can be transferred to a new build.
